AN: A little spoofy one-shot that I wrote a while ago. This was for the same prompt as "Practice Doesn't Make Perfect," which can be found on my profile page.

Fear was something that Aaron Hotchner and his team faced everyday. They stared the darker side of humanity right in the eye and didn't flinch. However, there was a fear that terrified them all, a fear that would certainly cripple them all if it occurred.

"Hotch," JJ screeched at the top of her lungs. People turned around to see what was going on, but she didn't care. She moved quickly, high heels clacking and an empty coffee pot in her hand. She knocked on Hotch's door until her hand hurt.

"Come in," Hotch said, wondering what all of the racket was about. JJ stormed right in and shoved the coffee pot an inch from Hotch's nose.

"Oh no…"

"Oh yes," JJ exclaimed, "The coffeemaker is broken!"

Oh, Mr. Coffee, why today, Hotch wondered.

"JJ, I need you to stay calm."

"Calm? Calm? Have you lost your mind? Are you insane? It is eight in the morning, I haven't had one cup of coffee yet, and all you have to say is to stay calm? You crazy…"

"Jennifer," Hotch shouted, silencing her rant. There was another knock at the door before he could continue.

"It's unlocked," he growled. Dr. Reid entered with a quizzical look on his face.

"What happened to the coffeemaker," he asked.

"Some genius broke it," JJ grumbled with a smirk.

"I hope you aren't referring to me," Reid said.

"Maybe I am…"

"Enough," Hotch exclaimed. "Now…"

Another knock interrupted Hotch.

"Who the hell is it this time," he grumbled. "Come in!"

"Where the coffee at," Morgan questioned upon entering. Hotch put his head down on the desk and wondered why, JJ held up the pot in distress, and Reid simply shrugged. There was yet another knock on the door.

"Just come in and leave it open," Hotch said.

Rossi entered and took a seat in the chair opposite Hotch's desk without asking. JJ, Morgan, and Reid, who were still standing, gave him a bewildered look.

"There is no coffee," Rossi said.

"We know," the other four yelled in unison.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

The blood-curdling scream made all five agents jump. They ran to the door to see what all the commotion was. Garcia was down on her knees in the break room, arms spread wide as she shouted at the ceiling. Prentiss was sitting in a chair with her head down on the desk, clearly sobbing.

"Ok, that's it," Hotch said, "We're all going to Starbucks!"

Six heads perked up.

"Really," JJ asked, suddenly giddy.

"Really, now let's go."

And so despite the panic that gripped our favorite crime fighters, Hotch's team was able to overcome yet another fear.

The End
