Moon's Dream

Out of the mist, she comes drifting
A whisper in silence weaving
Drawn by that soundless melody
That has haunted her ceaselessly.

Night, it is the incessant night
That has brought this lone wraight alight;
It sings to her a lullaby
That has brought that spark to her eye
Eyes, that never knew, will ne'er know
Save for that fathomless shadow.

But from the depths, she had felt it
And strains for that elusive heat
Willing that cold warmth to bathe her
To surround her, to engulf her --
That, which condemns her to the plight
Of a perpetual starless night...

To wandering, always searching
For the sun, but never finding

Till mist, mist
All is mist.
