A/N: I see a lot of Kagami x Kuroko; Kise x Kuroko; Aomine x Kuroko... But why isn't there enough Akashi x Kuroko~?

the butterfly—

00; Prologue [ you found me ]

[ He was just a caterpillar when they met. Slowly, but steadily he turned into a butterfly. ]

At the beginning there was a boy.

(There were others as well, but right now only boy mattered.)

"Daiki." he called out. "I thought I didn't see you for a while. So you were here."

The dark skinned boy turned around, facing his teammates. The one that spoke, Akashi Seijuro was his name, had medium long, very slick red hair, his eyes crimson colored were large and he had vertical pupils.

Behind him were — Midorima Shintaro, a fairly tall person with dark green hair with green eyes covered by regular black framed glasses, in his hands was a sprayer — his lucky item. Murasakibara Atsushi an abnormally tall person, even taller than Midorima, with slightly long purple hair and purple eyes, he looked uninterested and was eating his sweets.

"Oh yeah too many people in other auditorium."

"Well it doesn't matter where you practice…"

Akashi almost didn't notice the boy behind Daiki. Almost. The boy looked smaller than himself, icy blue hair styled to the right along with blank blue eyes, and his skin was quite pale. The boy was wearing their uniform, so he must be from their school, but this is the first time Akashi sees him.

"Who's he?"

Kuroko turned around, his blue eyes focused onto the redhead.

"Oh... I always practice with him. His name is Tetsu."

"Hmm. Did we have a guy like him on our team?"

The purple haired boy, munching on his sweets asked.

"He's not in the first-string. Still in the third-string."

The bored looked returned on his face and he returned to eating his sweets.

"Hmmm... whatever then. Let's go already—"

"No." the redhead cut him off, his eyes focused on the icy blue haired boy. "I'm curious about him. Interesting... I've never seen his type of player."

All the boys turned his eyes towards him, while Kuroko looked surprised.

"He might be hiding a talent completely different from ours... Tetsu, wasn't it?"

"I'm Kuroko Tetsuya."

"Akashi Seijuro. So, Tetsuya would you like to find out your talent?"

"Akashi you can't be serious, you'll let someone from third-string to join the first?"

Akashi turned around, glaring so hard, but still he stayed calm.

"Are you question me Shintaro?"

Under the controlled tonality of his voice there could be seen such viciousness that made Midorima's blood freeze. The dark green haired boy quickly shook his head, Akashi please with respond quickly turned around, facing Kuroko once again.

"So, Tetsuya what is your answer?"

Kuroko stayed quiet for some time. Slowly he raised his head and searched for those crimson eyes, a ghost like smile appeared on his lips and his voice came out as a whisper.

"Akashi-kun, I'm willing to try."

In the beginning there was a boy, a boy who loved playing basketball.

(And there was a boy who helped him do that.)

This is only prologue; I love the people who made new opening. Akashi's eyes are red, because it was said that one turned during sometime in Teiko. Slowly building relationship.
