A boy gazes down at her. He's only a child, yet he looks so big. His hands are gentle. There's a sense of protection, warmth, and reassurance. He's speaking to her, telling her it'll be okay, cracking jokes and grins to make her laugh. She's safe with him.
Emma flashes back to the future. Nobody's safe with magic coming, but everybody's returning to themselves. Has she saved Pinocchio, or is he still wood? She yearns to run to him but can't leave Henry. He has to come first always, but August, from this day forward, will be a close second.
