A Felix and Jane love story:
Chapter One
As a child growing up, the only person that Jane had besides herself was her twin brother Alec. They did everything together. They would play together, walk to school together. They were never seen apart very much. They were often found playing near the small river outside of the village. They found out early on that they could communicate silently. They could hear each other's thoughts. Know what the other was feeling.
The villagers were terrified of the twins. They often called them the witch twins. They were unusual to them. Twins weren't common then as they are now. Their Father was a Turkish soldier and their mother was Angelo-Saxon. Their parents had a high standing within the village due to their father's status as a soldier. They didn't have any friends. The other children in the village weren't allowed to be friends with them. So the other kids would torment them. Jane being born five before Alec, made her feel as though she had to protect her brother.
When Alec and Jane were about 15 the villagers began to notice that if someone done something mean to the twins or their family, something bad would happen to that person. If you were nice to them, good things tended to only added fuel to their belief that the twins were witches. Around this same time, a passing Nomad, revealed the twins to Aro of the Volturi. He took an intrest in the twins. After sending Felix and Demetri, two of his most prized guards, to check on the twins, he and his brothers decided to leave Alec and Jane in their parents care, until they were and Jane knew that there was something different about them. They knew that they weren't what most called normal.
One night shortly after Alec and Jane turned 16, the villagers barged into the twins parents home and dragged them to the center of the village where there were two stakes raised against the night sky. The villagers had gathered shouting foul things at the twins. Sentencing them to burn at the stake for witch craft. Alec and Jane both cried and screamed as they were tied upon the stakes. Both knowing that they were about to die. Their parents stood watching in horror. As their parents rushed forward to help them, they were killed in cold blood by the villagers.
As the fire began to lick at the twins feet, they struggled to release themselves from their bonds. All to no avail. As the flames ran up their bodies, the villagers laughed and shouted in glee. Suddenly from out of the forest, dark shapes darted to the center of the village. Killing the villagers and saving the twins. As the twins passed out from the intense pain, they looked up into the red eyes of their rescuers.
Aro having learned of the twins downfall had sent Felix and Demetri to save them and bring them back to the castle in Volterra. He wanted to turn them and add them to his most prized guards. As Felix looked down into the face of Jane, he felt an emotion that he had not felt in decades. Something almost like love. He shook his head at the thought. It was impossible, he had loved once in his mate. Yet she had choosen a mortal life over him. She had died at the hands of her abusive husband. He had sworn to never love again. He had closed his soul off to everyone. The only thing that had held him to the Volturi was Chelsea's bond.
As Demetri and Felix arrive back at the castle with Alec and Jane, they are ordered to take them to a chamber. As they enter, they see Master Aro waiting. The two lay the twins on the bed and back away. Aro orders them to stand guard at the door as he turns them. Being as burned as the two were, neither screamed in pain as Aro bit into their throats. His venom spreading into their bodies, as they lay for three days. Their bodies slowly dying, until their hearts stop. As their hearts stop, Felix and Demetri look at them as their crimson eyes open.
