She stood in his office watching him infront of her, he sat behind his desk watching her. Neither spoke. House didn't know why she was standing infront of him looking ready to flee. She didn't know how to tell him why she was standing there close to tears. So they watched each other.
She remembered a year ago soon, she was standing on his doorstep asking to be his friend. She didn't want to be only his friend, but it was as close she thought she would get.
He remembered eight months ago when he was eating thai food with her and was suddenly kissing her. He still didn't know who started the kiss.
And they both stood there, remembering what had been.
Where he ended she began. Where he ran she stayed.
They missed each other when they were in the same room.
She remembered two months ago, and how one night turned to their whole life.
He remembered a month ago when she told him their relationship had a consequence.
Now she was standing there close to tears, ready to run.
"I'm bleeding" she said.
He was scared to admit he was relieved.
She was sad because their only link was gone.
