Hey guys I have been sent an email about the CAMP ROCK INDIE WINTER AWARDS or something.
Here's New Years Kiss.
It was an hour before the countdown to the New Year. In Greenwich, Connecticut, snow was falling, all around the Torres household. Connie and Steve were passing small cups of drinks and nibbles around the small group of people sat in front of the fire. Caitlyn, Nate and Jason were having a small conversation, whilst one 19 year old was sat on the bench near the window watching the snow fall. Shane couldn't make it because he was staying with his family in L.A so she was waiting for his phone call.
Connie had never seen her daughter so blank. Usually on New Years Eve, Mitchie would dress up in her warmest clothes, make hot chocolate for them and rest by the fire awaiting her phone call from their family. But since Camp Rock, since she met Shane, she had become depressed. They're usual call would last 5 hours mostly because Mitchie would continue saying I miss you over and over again. Connie believed out of all the holidays, New Years Eve was the most romantic, couples shared a kiss or two as everyone around the world celebrated the start of the New Year.
Connie glanced at the group covered in a midst of blankets. Nate and Caitlin had their heads rested against each others, their skin with a slight orange glow from the fire. The 18 year olds were planning to tell each other they loved each other after a 5 month relationship. The 20 year old Jason was happy as anything because his wife Danielle and he had spent Christmas together before heading off to their families for New Years. He had this weird obessesion with birds. He knew exactly what species was what and if it was a male or female.
Mitchie and Shane has met as well as the rest of the gang at Camp Rock, a camp where the musically talented went to go improve their skills or in Shane's case, get a new personality. After Mitchie lied, got kicked out of final jam, sang anyway, apologised to Shane they eventually started a relationship. And since then, they'd been inseparably.
Mitchie waited and waited but her phone call never came. She felt the prickling of tears itch her eyes. She heard people stand up and count down. 60, 59, 58, 57...40, 39,38... 10, then the wooden door opened and in trudged a snow covered Shane Gray. Mitchie turned around and gasped.
"Mitchie, I am sorry." He said taking her in his arms. She nodded into his coat. Then a bell chimed and without even asking, Shane placed his lips on hers, softly, letting her feel how sorry he was.
She had received the kiss of a life time, and she knew he meant everything he had said. Everyone around them awed well except Caitlin and Nate who were caught up in a small make out session.
This year there was something new. Something had started and the winds of change were starting to blow.
Please vote for me. xxxx
