Things in the last few months at Ring of Honor had changed, Alex and Austin had been fighting more and more about the leadership and somehow Ajay ended up in the middle of it. Austin trying to get at Alex and Alex at Austin. And she didn't like it and she let them and the other members of Generation Next know about it.
And it didn't make any of them happy especially Roddy who had become very close to her. He tried to get in the middle and play peacemaker so she didn't have too but it didn't matter, she ended up right where she started. In the middle. And that's how she ended up there, tagging with Austin against CM Punk and Traci Brooks.
"Come on Austin." She said stomping her foot against the ring apron watching the match closely. Alex and Roddy had tried to get her out of this match or even switch so either one of them were in the match instead but Austin held fast and she forced to do the match. And she hated it, if it would have been anyone else but Austin, she would have been okay, but since it was Austin, she wasn't.
The man that wanted to be the leader of the faction ignored her and was pushed to the ground harshly by the tattooed man. She sighed and threw her hands up in the air. What was the point of them working together if he wasn't going to listen to her.
That isn't how a team worked.
"What the hell is he doing?" Roddy asked as he leaned against the wall by a crate still upset that he wasn't able to go down with Ajay and Austin. In fact all other members of Generation Next were told to stay in the back and it bugged him. Alex shrugged his shoulders as he kept pacing the length of the tunnel position. He was antsy, and he never got like that. Ever. And he certainly never got this way about any girl. But since she was Ajay and she was one of the boys. And now she was his best friend's girl, it made everything worse. Chris would kill him if anything happened to her. And so would Petey. Her being here was putting him between a rock and a hard place.
Hearing a loud ringing thud, Alex turned back to the small monitor and cursed wildly seeing Ajay laying on the ground not moving. "Son of a bitch." Roddy muttered as he pushed back the curtains and made a quick exit going down to the ring side area.
"Ashton? Can you hear me?" Colt asked as he knelt down next to his fallen friend, he had been as surprised as Punk and Traci was when Austin charged full force into his tag team partner sending her crashing through the time keepers table. "Ajay!" He repeated reaching his hand out to shake her. "Stop fussing Boom-Boom." She muttered as Roddy joined them. He glared at Austin who was standing in the ring with the heels of his hands pressed against his temples like he couldn't believe what happened.
"You okay baby?" "Head hurts." She answered, "I think I hit it on the concrete." "You probably did. Come on let's get you up." He said reaching his hands out to help her up. She sat up slowly and shook her head before going to lay back down on the ground.
"Ajay, you are bleeding." Colt said pointing at the blood that was dripping down her side. "I am?" She asked. 'Yeah. you are." He said as Roddy said a few words to the referee who held his arms up in the x. Alex came down to the ring angrily, he had taken a few minutes to himself before going down to confront Austin about what happened. He paused to check on Ajay to make sure was okay before he got into the ring and confront Austin. He shoved him back harshly, "What the hell Austin?" "It was an accident!" He returned shoving him back, "How was I supposed to know that she was standing there?" Alex growled, they all knew that she was standing there, she had been standing there since she had been tagged out of the match.
'She was there the WHOLE time! How did you know that?!" "It was a fucking accident." He returned glancing over Alex's shoulder and smirking seeing that she was being loaded onto the stretcher. "I didn't mean for anything bad to happen."

"I will go with her.' Roddy said holding onto Ajay's trembling hand. "Okay, I am going to call Aves and let her know what happened." Colt returned before looking down at Ajay, "I will see you in a bit Ajay." Ajay gave him a thumbs up and closed her eyes to fight off pain that was rushing over her.
This was a first for her and hopefully it would be the last. She didn't like this, she knew this was what her brother was afraid of. She only hoped that it was nothing serious, she really didn't want to hear I told you so from Jay. maybe, just maybe she could keep it from him.
