Doctor Strange

Rejuvenation

A/N: My idea of what should have happened after the post-credits scene.

He watched from the shadows as Karl Mordo left John Pangborn on the floor, unable to move without his magical energies aiding him. When he was gone, he stepped out of the shadows, approaching Mr. Pangborn.

"Glad he's gone," he told the paralyzed man. "His belief that there are too many of you is flawed. You were never misusing your powers. What he took from you, I'm here to return to you."

John hadn't seen this man before. He was darker than Mordo, dressed in green robes and emanated a strange energy that didn't seem at all like the energy he used to walk.

"Who…are you?" He asked the man.

"I am a friend to the good…and an enemy to the bad," he answered cryptically. "The brother of all spiritual beings. A demon to some…and an angel to others."

John then recalled reading an old passage from a book in the library where he learned how to channel magic into his body. It was about how a former mortal was charged by a higher force to undo the cruelty that existed because of those too cruel to change, too cruel to save.

"Brother Correction," he went. "You're Brother Correction."

With his hands glowing bright orange, the man responded, "That's right."

Then, he placed his hands into his waist, channeling his energies into his maimed body.

John felt like someone had taken apart his skeleton and immersed it in a hot spring before reassembling it back together. There was no pain at all.

"The magic I have given you…is one that only I can take away," Brother Correction told him, removing his hands from his waist. "Can you stand?"

John moved…and got back to his feet on his own power.

"Thank you," he praised the man.

Brother Correction bowed his head.

"Mordo has lost his way after learning of a troublesome truth about the late Ancient One," he explained, "but it will lead him to his own downfall if he refuses to be fluidic like the future Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange, and put what he learned behind him to move on."

"Doctor Strange? As in Stephen Strange?"

"The one and only."

"But…how can you know this?"

"I don't need the Eye of Agamotto to see into the future. When the man that sought to heal his hands passes his greatest test, he will have earned the position of Sorcerer Supreme. If you wish to see how for yourself, however (he placed a Sling Ring onto a nearby desk), feel free to use this. Mordo won't be coming back to bother you, anymore. Embrace your miracle once again."

Brother Correction then disappeared into the shadows, like he was never there to begin.

John looked down at the Sling Ring, pondering whether or not to pick it up and use it to go to Kamar-Taj where he obtained his miracle. And then he did pick it up.

A/N: I meant to get to this, but I didn't have the motivation to do so until after midnight. I hope you agree with me when I say that John Pangborn didn't deserve what Mordo did to him. And I think this is the first time time I put Brother Correction somewhere within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What do you think?
