I breathed through the breathing tubes in my nostrils…staring at the white and blank slate walls. I knew that today maybe the last day I could ever see the light from the sun that rises everyday. Looking at my wig in disbelief, I just could not believe that out of so many ponies I had to be the one to contract this illness-cancer.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I thought about the past. I truly regretted for what I had done but it was all too late now, if I just stopped myself,maybe I may have my family and friends back but what could I do? It was the day where every pony had to fight for justice and freedom, lost ones were grieved and some revenged. I ,being the trusted assistant of the Head of the Royal Guard-Shining Armor, was told every single tactic and plan that the Princesses and the army was going to use. As I was doing my duty near the forest, something attracted me to go there which I now always hoped that I could turn back the time to that moment and refuse to go in there. Suddenly, a dark shadow circled around me, chills went up my spine as sinister words came from it."My, my, isn't it the assistant of Shining Armor? Hand me your tactics so that I can have the advantage of beating your country and I shall let you go or else you shall suffer the terrible curse."I hold the plans tightly to my chest and shook my head vigorously, those plans meant everything to Equestria I could not just let them go.
I took dash towards away from the clearing, the shadow chased me head on, I managed to avoid the vines and the roots from the gigantic trees. The dark shadow appeared in from of me making me bang my head into a bark of a tree and drop the plans onto the ground in shock. By that time, I was already half unconscious all I remembered that the next thing I knew I was in the hospital…
I opened my eyes groggily and saw three nurses fussing around me as if I was a royal subject. The doctor, Dr Hooves trotted to me and said something in a very serious tone. I did not catch a single word except the word cancer. Now,lying on my bed,I began to recall how my family and friends had refused to visit me after they heard I had lost the war tactics to the enemy. Fortunately, due to the Princesses' intelligence, we managed to defeat the enemy. I looked out of my window, the sun was a shining golden orb just above the sea horizon, seagulls squawked and the waves clashed against the shore. I knew I had only a few more minutes to live, the sun lowered into the horizon, finally disappearing from sight. Night fell in as one lonely star appeared. It was the North Star. My favourite star out of the whole galaxy, it seemed to light up the night sky with a rainbow as a farewell to me. Only tonight. I smiled as I finally closed my weary eyes and drifted off to an eternal slumber…
