I meant to write a happy Drabble, but nothing came to my head. Instead, I wrote this. Sorry :L
"Marigolds are the flowers of despair."
A silent whisper escaped Rati's lips as a bouquet of marigolds was placed on Aichi's lap gingerly, not even bothered to be wrapped or even bunched up neatly. Just golden flowers scattering on Aichi's lap, slipping off his lap and landing on the water.
Big blue hues opened as the girl's presence was gone, the only evidence of her appearance were the marigolds, silently falling into the water, their petals scattering everywhere, the water turning orange.
A single marigold survived on Aichi's lap, and he delicately picked it up, examining it. The bright warm colors of the marigold were popping out of the petal, seeming extravagant, graceful, beautiful, bright as the sun.
Yet it was symbolizing grief.
He plucked off a golden petal, the color slightly dulling as it was torn apart from the pistill and dropped into the water, joining the other petals that were now gray; their colors being sucked into the water.
The corners of his lips dropped slightly as he watched the once extravagant petal become dull and grey. Aichi let out a sigh, the rolling white breath making the flower slightly shiver as he twirled it around more, plucking out the petals gently, one by one.
A funny thought slipped in his mind. The flower was actually almost like him; he was the pistill, the one that was the source of those bright popping colors of the petals. Once the petals detached, they lose their colors. Their happiness.
Yet, the bluenet couldn't seem to care how much it resembled how he betrayed his friends, robbed them of their memories and the knowledge of his existence, and kept plucking, brushing off all the petals that stayed on his lap, the water slowly turning a brighter and brighter shade of orange as the petals turned a duller shade, until no hue was left.
All the petals were stripped off, revealing the pistill. It wasn't as pretty as the once prepossessing petals, but it still resembled him, no matter how much he didn't want it to.
He sighed, eyelids dropping a little and covering the gleam in his blue orbs as he tossed the last of the flower away. It landed with a small splash, the petals around it floating away.
He never really imagined such a flower to resemble him, but it did, in every single way. The way he was despairing, the one who attracted despair and the one who caused despair itself. Yet, he couldn't feel angry about. Actually, he genuinely couldn't feel anything now, not even for his former idol, Kai, but it didn't bother him.
After all, life had no meaning to him anymore.
He just wanted to wilt away, like a dying flower.
His lips graced a small empty, emotionless smile, the half shut eyes closing as the orange color in the water floated farther and farther away from him, until it all faded and the water was full of dull, grey petals.
"Thank you for the flowers, Rati."
