Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was by far the WORST Viking on the Isle of Berk. Nobody liked him; the only person he could really talk to was Gobber. Gobber was his father, Stoic the Vast's best friend. Life for Hiccup was pretty much hell. He never thought anything would work out. That is, until the day he met a mysterious silver haired boy with blue eyes. His name…Was Jack Frost.

"Can…Can you see me?" He asked. Hiccup could only nod; after witnessing the older boy flying in the air. Hiccup couldn't help but notice the boy was extremely pale and cold.

"Are you…Okay?" Hiccup asked, completely unaware that Jack was a winter spirit. Jack just smiled at the Viking boy.

"Yea, I'm pretty used to the cold!" Jack replied. "You?"

"Yea…"

"You look like you could use a friend…I'll be your friend if you want"

"Really?...Why would you be my friend?" Hiccup asked. "I'm worthless…"

The two were in a huge park. As per usual it was snowing. "Useless? Naw…I don't think so." Jack replied. "Besides, I'm not the type to pick on anyone, bullying destroys someone's self-confidence. I think you're cool."

"Me? Cool? No…. I'm a big useless dork…" Hiccup replied.

"No you're not." Jack protested. "Listen, I can tell you're in a bad situation and I want to help. I'll be your friend, okay? I'm not going to tease you or hurt you like those people. You have my word for it!" Jack promised.

Hiccup wasn't convinced but he slowly smiled anyway. "Thanks…" he replied. Jack gently ruffled the younger boy's hair.

"No problem!"

….

Jack and Hiccup were hanging out talking; getting to know each other. "Ah… I've been around for three hundred years." Jack replied to Hiccup's question. Hiccup was astonished.

"Really?"

"Yea"

"I see…" Hiccup replied. It had been a few weeks since Jack and Hiccup first met. It felt like everything would be okay…Hiccup finally had someone to talk too.
