"Tyrion…Tyrion…" The voice of a young woman echoed.
Tyrion Lannister walked along a small dirt path, his hand on his sword. This all seemed familiar to him…but where was he?
"Tyrion Lannister…" The voice repeated.
"Show yourself!" Tyrion shouted, drawing his sword.
"Oh, Tyrion…" The voice said from behind him.
Tyrion spun around almost cutting down the woman. Once he looked at her face, he stopped in his tracks.
Tyrion couldn't believe his eyes. "Wh- Igrayne…you-" He said, struggling to find words. "Igrayne…you're alive?"
Igrayne shook her head, holding Tyrion in a tight embrace. "No my love…"
Tyrion broke from Igrayne's grasp. "Why are you here then? Are you nothing but my mind playing tricks on me!?" He shouted.
"Tyrion…you need to know the truth." Igrayne said quietly.
Tyrion went back to that fateful day. Tomorrow would have been one year…one year since he lost his only love.
"But you were…" Tyrion couldn't finish his sentence.
"Murdered by an assassin? Sure, call it that if you wish…" She said.
Tyrion stepped back. "What are you talking about, love?"
"That monster you call your brother!" Igrayne hissed.
"Jaime…he did this…I'm such a fool!" Tyrion shouted.
How could he have been such a fool? Since he had secretly gotten married to Igrayne things had been complicated. And who else but Prince Joffrey would see things. Soon things had been passed around enough that Tyrion's father, Lord Tywin got wind of the marriage. Things went downhill from there. The couple was shunned; however Tywin had enough grace to let them stay in the castle. Tywin was under the impression that if he couldn't love another woman, neither could his imp of a son.
Igrayne sat next to Tyrion. "This is not your fault…they lied to you…they are family, what else were you supposed to believe."
"Tell me what happened…I need to know." Tyrion said sighing.
Igrayne looked away; she couldn't bear to put her love through this pain. "I was…in my chamber…waiting for you to return." She hesitated. "I heard footsteps…I thought it was you." Igrayne sobbed.
"My love, I'm so sorry…I will deal with him myself…" Tyrion promised.
"My time is nearly up, Tyrion…I must go." Igrayne said quietly.
Tyrion's eyes filled with tears. "Will I ever see you again, dearest Igrayne?"
Igrayne simply smiled and said. "one day my love…one day we will be together."
Igrayne's voice faded "One day…"
Tyrion's anger built up, he finally knew the truth. He had only one thing to say.
"Jaime Lannister will be no more." He said drawing his sword.
