Tim swirled the remaining sip of his rum and coke before downing the last bit. He hated this feeling. He felt so empty. There was no warm tingle in his extremities and no comforting fogginess in his head to erase the events of a long day. Bruce and Damian had gotten caught by the Joker, again. Tim had been forced to go find Dick and Oracle so that they could rescue their stubborn mentor, again. Now he just wanted to sit here and drink.

"Back again, Timothy?" A familiar voice asked. Tim turned to see Jason Todd sitting next to him. "This drinking habit of yours has gotten quite out of hand, don't you think?"

"I can stop when I want to, Jase." Tim hissed glaring at his big brother.

"That's what I used to tell Babs and Dick about my smoking and drug use." Jason laughed. "You can't lie to me about this, replacement, I've been there remember? I know the look in your eyes the one that says that you don't know if you can stop anymore. After sitting here every night for the last six months drinking yourself into near unconsciousness and then catching a taxi home, you know it's not just because you had a bad day." Jason paused and looked at Tim before handing him something gold and shiny. "Keep that until you get your own." With that the second eldest of Bruce's sons vanished out the door.

Tim looked down at what Jason had given him: it was a coin. On one side it said 'AA: Alcoholics Anonymous' and one the other it said 'One Year'. Tim stared at the coin for a long time before leaving the bar with only one drink in his system.
