"Ok people we don't have a lot of time!" Maya yelled running around.
"Maya don't you think you're over reacting just a bit?" Phoenix said carrying a box. "You don't even get a lot of solos."
"No I don't," Maya said. "Now scram!" Phoenix rolled his eyes.
"Miss Maya," Luke said. "Why don't I have a big role!?"
"You're just too innocent to play the male parts Luke," Maya said patting his head. "Besides without you, it just wouldn't work!" Maya ran to Espella.
"This is a bit much for our provincial town," she said.
"Well what a better way to end the story then something like this!" Maya said. "Besides these people need to know that the late 20th and 21st styles of witches are not so bad."
"I suppose but don't you think they'll be a little shocked seeing all the effects you planned?"
"Maybe but with everything else, this really isn't that bad. It's just wires and some background changes."
"Excuse me Milady?" Zak said. "But this makes no sense!"
"What makes no sense Sir knight?" Maya said.
"Well first who is this Sleeping Beauty and why am I knocking her unconcious?"
"It's not literal you know!" Maya said. Zak was still confused.
'Even the town minstrels would think of something this ridiculous!" He said annoyed.
"Just lay your part ok Zak!"
"And we're doing this twice?" Espella asked.
"You got it E!" Maya said bowing her head. "You ready Eve!"
"I feel a little ridiculous but yeah!" Darklaw said below the boards. "I just hope this works!"
"You designed it," Maya said. "Well I better prep Jean and Kiyra!" She ran off.
"Scared?" Espella asked. Zak nodded.
"Though I am excited for, what did she call it, spec-cial e-ffects?"
"I think that's what she said," Espella said rubbing her chin. "Well we ran through it so many times so it can't be too disastrous."
Meanwhile Phoenix was seeing the crowd brewing. He saw Layton near the front.
"Looking good I presume?" Layton asked.
"Yeah," Phoenix said. "I'll admit this is the first time Maya planned something this crazy. But everything looks fine."
"Well I hope it's a good performance!" Layton said before getting a seat. Maya popped her head out.
"Hey Nick we're ready back here!" Phoenix nodded. He nodded toward minstrels and the Storyteller.
Music started and Phoenix put his headphone on. He grinned.
"Yeah Ya'll know what it is! Katy Perry! Juicy J! aha. Let's rage!" And the curtains opened!
