Show Me the Way
Summary: She looked up to the sky as the tears fell down her face. Her eyes were swollen and red and small, heartbroken sobs escaped her mouth. She clasped her hands and fell to her knees and prayed for the mercy of God. "Help me God, I don't know what to do anymore. Please show me the way.
Prologue:
"Gabriella." The seven year old, brown eyed brunette looked up from her book. Gabriella had always liked to read and she lay on her bed, immersed in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. As she looked around her small but comfy room, she saw no one and returned to her book only to hear that voice again.
"Gabriella." She'd been hearing it for a few days now and chose to ignore it but it kept getting stronger and she was feeling compelled to answer it. She didn't tell anyone about it because she thought everyone would think she was crazy. She sighed and closed her book, sitting up and looking around.
"Who are you?" she asked quietly. She didn't expect to hear anything so she continued. "Why are you calling me?"
"I am the Alpha and the Omega. The King of Kings, the one true living God. You are a very special girl Gabriella and I've chosen you to carry My message to the world. Have faith in Me and you will find success. Trust in Me and follow My word. Do not be afraid, for I am and will always be with you."
Gabriella felt a presence all around her. She had been brought up in the church and she knew about God. She was like Samuel, she thought, called as a child to fulfil God's purpose for her. And like Samuel, she would serve the Lord until the day she died.
"I am you servant Lord. I will do as you ask...."
