Sakura leaves Kakashi in the night, leaving behind only a cryptic note. The plot thickens when no one in Konoha seems to remember her. Maybe there was always more to Sakura Haruno than met the eye.

Kakashi, my love,

This past year has been the best year of my life. I wouldn't trade it for the world. But a long time ago, I was assigned a mission. I can't tell you any of the details, but just know that I will be gone for a very long time.

I've wanted to forsake my mission so many times, but I've recently been reminded of what exactly is at stake. If it means keeping you, and everyone in Konoha safe, then I will do whatever it takes… even if it means telling you good-bye.

I'm sorry. I never thought I would fall in love like we did, but I don't regret it. I don't know when I'll see you again, but when that time comes – whether it's in this life or the next – I will still be as madly in love with you as I am in this moment.
