A thousand miles underwater
That's where I am
Slowly drifting farther down
I am not drowning
At least not in water
But in memories
I try to swim to the surface
Try to fight the certain
For if there's one thing I learned it was to have hope
Suddenly I'm paralyzed
By a series of images
Of those I left up on the surface
A woman with green eyes sits on a beach
A man is next to her
They seem so in love
A woman with grey eyes chases a bird
A man with green runs after her
They seem so distressed
A woman in a green dress walks down an aisle
A man is waiting for her there
They seem so happy
My will to fight only grows
But I keep drifting towards the bottom
The black emptiness that awaits
Slowly drifting farther down
That's where I am
A thousand miles underwater
