Hi guys! I decided to upload the revised version of this story, I think you'll like this more since it has better writing and plot. I will be uploading a couple more chapters after I edit them a bit.

A man stood firmly behind a tree, partially concealing his body as he peeked through the shadows. His gaze never left a boy, perhaps no more than 6 years old, whose legs sprawled out on the ground as he merrily played with his toys. A warm and loving smile crept onto the man's face, showing his delight in seeing the boy even from afar. His smile grew wider as he realized how the boy's resemblance to him was really strikingly remarkable. That spiky brown hair gave it away. He'd only been staring at the pictures that were sent to him up until then, but now that he could inspect the child personally, he noticed that the boy's eyes weren't like his. Although they held the same innocence, those big dark brown eyes that are so full of wonder and joy—yes the man remembers full well to whom those eyes were similar to.

His heart ached of longing to hold the boy in his arms, talk to him, and ask for forgiveness for being away for so many years. He knows he's missed many chapters in the boy's upbringing. From when he was being conceived, to when he was finally born in this world. Did the boy learn how to walk first then spoke his first word? Or could it be the other way around? If so, what was his first word? Does the boy know about him? Or was he kept a secret?

The man frowned at the thought of the latter. His own son not knowing who he is. But then again, this was all because of his doings. He chose to leave them.

He chose to leave her.

Yet he did not know that she was conceiving a child back then. But had he known, would it have changed his mind about leaving?

He continued watching as the boy begun to play with a ball, tossing it in the air and preventing it from touching the ground.

And then, it was as if fate complied his heart's wish to meet his son.

The man watched as the ball was thrown and bounced not far from him. His mind debating on whether to retrieve the toy and give it back or just wait for his son to pick it up and waste the chance the fate had seemed to have given him.

He decided to go with the former. He left his hiding spot and went to grab the ball as the boy began to ran towards it. The child stopped his tracks as he sees his toy in the stranger's hand.

"Hello," The man says, smiling. "Is this yours?" He got down on one knee and held the toy closer to the boy.

The boy nods and cautiously took the ball from his hands. "Thank you," He simply says.

Just then, a familiar voice was heard not far from them. "Sora?" The woman calls out.

The man froze on his spot, and he felt his heart quickening inside his chest. He recognized that voice, although it wasn't as high pitched as before, still he knew whom that voice belonged to, after getting accustomed to hearing it almost every day during his teenage years.

"Tsuna-san~!"

"Good morning Tsuna-san! Let's walk to school together!"

"Tsuna-san what do you think of Haru's costume? I stayed up late making this one, do you like it?"

"Ah! Tsuna-san, Haru made you a bento, it's filled with Haru's undying love for you~ make sure to eat it all up okay?"

"S-since it's valentine's day, H-Haru wants to… um... give you this! Haru made that herself, it may not be as good as the ones bought from the store, b-but Haru put all her love and effort into it, so… mou! Why is Haru having a hard time giving you her valentine's gift! You have no idea how much Haru wanted to take a bite from that chocolate cake! So you should be grateful that Haru held back!"

"Someday Haru will be the wife of a Mafia boss!"

"Ah, Mama!" The boy ran towards his mother at the sound of his name being called, disrupting Tsuna from dwelling further back into the past.

He slowly rose from his position. Assuming he still wasn't noticed, as the woman was still focused on her child, he brushed his un-creased black tuxedo with his hands, fixed his black tie and ran his fingers through his spiky brown hair, wanting to look presentable before showing himself to her. He was no longer the skinny, wimp, dame—Tsuna when they were teens, rather, he was now a full grown man and has finally, wholeheartedly accepted the role of being the Vongola's 10th boss.

But as his eyes landed on her, he gaped as it dawned to him that he wasn't the only one who's changed over the past 7 years.

There she was, the woman that he had only been looking at through a picture, standing before him with her child hugging her as they conversed. Her chocolate brown hair was no longer tied into a high ponytail but was now let loose and cut short, a style that reminded him greatly of his late mother, Nana's, hairstyle.

Tsuna felt his heart skip a beat as soon as she noticed his presence and her eyes suddenly looked up to meet his. He felt the sudden change in the air as they both stood there, unmoving, so he decided to break the ice by giving her a slight smile, hoping to get one in return.

But when her smiled reduced to a frown, he knew he was far from being forgiven.

"Haru— "Tsuna says as he took one step towards them, but halted seeing as how instantly Haru reacted.

Haru immediately took a step back along with her child, "Sora, let's wait for papa inside shall we?"

"Papa...?" Tsuna muttered. Before Haru and the child could retreat back to their home, Tsuna immediately strided towards Haru and grabbed her wrist.

She stopped, yet she didn't look back. Tsuna took this as an opportunity, "Haru we have to talk" he says. He waited for what seemed like would go on forever. "Please,"

"You and I have nothing to talk about, so— "

"He's my son isn't he?" Tsuna abruptly says. He didn't need to hear her answer. When she flinched he already knew.

"Sora, please go back inside, mama will join you shortly" Haru watched as the boy simply obliged and went inside the house. Haru blinks rapidly and wipes the tears forming at the edge of her eyes. She forced a smile on her face before turning to face him.

Why do you always do that? Why do have to force yourself to smile, even you're breaking down on the inside? After all these years it seems you haven't changed that much, you still are the Haru that I…

"Haru…" Tsuna mutters, "Haru I— "

"If you're here to apologize then you don't have to fret," She paused, "Sawada-san" Haru simply says with a smile plastered on her face.

He felt as if he had been stabbed in the heart at the realization that their relationship had gone far back enough for her to call him with such honorifics. "I've forgiven you a long time ago, and It's not good to dwell on the past ne? So you may take your leave now"

"But Sora— "

"Is doing well," She stated.

"Haru, please let me explain," He tried to reach for her hand but she slapped his hand away. "Haru, my son has the right to know who I am!" Tsuna didn't mean to let his emotions get the best of him and shout at her, but he did and this made Haru snap in anger,

"Why did you have to come back?!"

Tsuna was taken aback by her words.

He closed the gap between her and enclosed her in his arms around her small frame.

"I won't let you go this time, I was stupid to do that before, but that was because I was weak. But now that I've become much stronger and more capable of protecting you… and my son, our son. I will never make the same mistake again" He whispered solemnly in her ear.

Haru fought back the tears that were once again forming in her eyes, and stopped herself from wrapping her arms around his now built form. She hoped that he couldn't feel her heart thumping loudly in her chest and that he couldn't see through her and see how much she badly wished for this, for him come back to her and wrap his arms around her, to have their bodies in this close proximity, to smell his familiar scent, and to feel his warmth encircling her once again.

But the judging looks of her neighbors snapped her back to reality. This isn't right. This isn't what I want anymore. This shouldn't be.

"Sawada-san please let go of me, the neighbors are staring" she softly says.

"Ah! S-sorry!" Tsuna says as he removed his arms around her and took a step back.

Haru silently wished that he hadn't. But she knew she had to do what was right, and what was best.

"Sawada-san" She called his attention once again, with a smile back on her face. "If you can't tell I am married now and believe me as I say this," She stared directly into his eyes, dark brown orbs staring intently into his own. "We're very much satisfied—no, satisfied is an understatement," she paused. "We are very happy with our current lives now, and it would be best if you don't interfere, do not burden yourself with the thought of needing to help us because I can assure you that I am capable of raising my child"

Before he could protest, Haru had made her way towards their house. "Good day, Sawada-san" she politely said before she shut the door, ignoring the hurt look that was evident on his face.

Haru broke down behind the closed door, clamping a hand over her mouth to prevent her from making noise as she began to weep. She didn't want to remember all the pain that she had gone through. She was supposed to have forgotten those memories.

She was supposed to forget how much she loved him. But it was inevitable, now that she saw him again.

Haru tried to keep her voice down, and she cried as softly as she could, not wanting to alarm her son that was probably watching in the living room. She begun to stand up, wiping the tears that continued to cascade down her face. Be strong. she repeated over and over in her head. Be strong for Sora.

As she finally calmed down, and looked cheerful enough to see her child, she made her way towards the living room and found him sitting in front of the television, laughing merrily as he watched his favorite cartoon show.

"What did I say about watching too close to the Tv?" Haru says as she picks up her son and settled themselves on the sofa. "You don't want to go blind now, do you?"

The boy shook his head eagerly. Haru smiles and kissed him on the forehead.

Watching too close to the tv will make you blind. That was what her parents told Haru when she was about her son's age. As she grew older she found out that this wasn't entirely true, but hey, it kept her in a decent distance from the tv. It was one of the lies parents would use for the sake of their child, and Haru was using this to her son. One of the few white lies she'd told him.

One was that a Namahage would take him if continues being a bad kid, which she usually uses when he won't do as he was told. Another one, is Santa Claus. Every Christmas she would fill their Christmas trees with presents and she would tell Sora that Santa brought this as a reward for being a good kid all year round.

And then there's the thing about his father. Her child didn't know anything about Tsuna, and she was determined to keep it that way. That would be the best decision. She didn't want to confuse her child as to why he has two fathers and why Haru kept it a secret from him. He didn't want her own child to get mad at her, although she thinks that her child is incapable of staying or being mad at someone, especially at Haru. His heart is just so pure, innocent and filled with joy. Haru wouldn't want to do anything to ruin that.

"Papa!" the boy shouted, interrupting Haru's thoughts.

Sora ran towards a man in his mid-20's, holding his leather jacket over his shoulder and his briefcase on the other one. He picks Sora up into a hug as he smiles at Haru.

"I'm back"
