Every time our eyes meet,

No one thinks that I can feel an emotion as strong as love. Because I'm an enforcer, a Bash Brother, people seem to think I'm different then everyone else.
I guess in a way, I am different.
I can feel love, I do feel love.
I'm in love.
But, it's different then anyone would expect; I'm in love with a boy, a teammate, my friend.

He's my best friend. Adam Banks. I think I've always been in love with him, ever since he hurt his wrist when we were fourteen.
Sometimes when he touches me, a pat on the back, a comforting hand on my shoulder, I think I can feel love. Wishful thinking, maybe.
When he looks at me, I see love, or at least, I like to think I see love.
It feels good, when he looks at me, when he touches me, almost like he knows how I feel and with his eyes, his hands, he's trying to tell me "I love you too Dean."
I've never been this close to anyone or anything

I don't know if Adam knows he's my best friend, but he is, the best I've ever had.
I've never been closer to anyone in my life, he knows everything about me.
I'm not sure, but I like to think I know everything about him too, sometimes I think I can hear what he's thinking, just by watching him and seeing the wheels turning in his head. Sometimes he gives it all away in his eyes, and I know when he's thinking about making his dad proud, when he's thinking about how the team turned their back on him freshman year, when he's thinking about how his brother used to beat him up everyday for no reason except because it was fun. I like to think I know it all.
Maybe I don't, but that Adam Banks, he amazes me.
