Ship of Fools
By Any Unborn Child
(Disclaimer: Code Geass and its amazing characters are not mine, nor will they ever be.)
The politics of Britannia were really screwed up.
Lelouch was well aware of that.
Anyone who willingly sends their own son as a political hostage would have to be really screwed up into to do that.
No real father would do that to their child.
C.C. was well aware of what the hierarchies of Britannia were juxtaposed to their actual abilities.
As a matter of fact, Lelouch and C.C. agreed on more than one occasion.
They agreed about the Britannian systems (as mighty and powerful that they "were") being corrupt and greedy.
They agreed about the ways that the Black Knights should run.
They even agreed about the inevitability of fate.
But out of the many things that they disagreed on, they never really discussed what would happen once their goals were realized.
Once the Britannian Empire was vanquished.
Once the Elevens would be known as the Japanese once again.
Once the world was a more beautiful and more harmonious place.
Once everything was back to normal.
But,
In reality,
What was normal, anyway?
Everyone clung to their own instincts,
Hoping to survive for so long.
What would they do once they realized everything was all right?
What would they do once they realized that they could let go of their brave façades?
Well…
When the time comes,
Lelouch and C.C. would just have to show them.
