Ch. 1
Beck and Jade Get Together
It's the night before the first day of junior year for Jade West, not that she's nervous, nothing makes her nervous, if anything she makes other people nervous. But the truth is Jade never really felt like she fit in. She was different than everyone else. Not that she had a problem with that, she always thought that she was just one step ahead of everyone else. Or maybe like ten steps ahead. This only became an issue for Jade when she decided everyone annoyed her, and therefore she didn't have many friends. But that didn't upset Jade, it took a lot to even phase her. Jade is dark, but carries herself very lightly; she fancies herself cold and mean, but Jade secretly has a warm heart.
Her only wish for the next year is that she can get through all the pointless drama and the prissy, snobby girls hogging the spotlight at Hollywood Arts and stealing all the decent boys. Especially that one very handsome boy, Beck Oliver. he had some of the best abs she had ever seen, and his hair was like a waterfall of delicious dark chocolate. But Jade would never admit that out loud, it would hurt her tough girl ego.
She brushed her long, black hair with pink and blue streaks as she fluffed her scull covered pillows and laid down, dreading the long day that awaited her. Maybe this year will be more exciting, maybe she'd get more opportunities to show off her artistic ability and make something of herself. She knew she had more talent than the other girls that always tried out for the same roles as her, but for some reason the judges never thought she was "happy enough" or "girly enough". If she wasn't right for any of their roles maybe she would just make up her own roles.
All Jade knows is she better not get shown up by Tori Vega ever again. She's determined to show that she's a much better actor and musician than Tori will ever be.
