As a foreword, I wanted to explain what exactly is going to be in this story, just so it's not too confusing. Don't worry, no spoilers.
This is a story about a gem that isn't all quite there. To really understand him (yes, him), we're going to have to jump around a bit. I promise it will all make sense in the end, but the end for this particular tale is a long way off from the beginning.
You're going to see some journal entries, some firsthand accounts, and some conjecture by me. It all kind of happens at the same time, but I have to layer it so you don't get lost. And so it makes good reading. Just expect this to be a bit of a pulp fiction.
