I let out a sigh. Like he would ever like me. I'm just boring old Artemis. The most we'll ever be is friends.
"Hey Arty!" Speak of the Devil...
"Hey Hermes." I said, forcing my self pity to the back of my mind. "What do you want?"
"What? I can't visit my favourite sister?" He mock sobbed.
"Not without a good reason, you can't." I teased, pushing down the quiver of hope I felt at his calling me his favourite.
"Well, I came to tell you that-hey! What's this?" He asked, snatching the list off my lap. "'He Would Be'. What? He would be what?" He looked down at the list again. "Ooh! There's numbers!"
"No!" I shouted, jumping up. "Don't read that!" I tried to grab it but he held it up higher.
"'Number One: he would be nice. Two: he would be respectful. Three: he would be happy. Four: he would be somewhat of a trickster. Five: he would have dark brown curly hair. S-six: he would have emerald green eyes. S-seven: he would be six foot. Eig-eight: he would be the God of Tricksters, Messengers...'" He trailed off, his voice getting slower with each new statement, and looked up. "Artemis," he said slowly. "Why is this list describing me?"
I froze. "I uh...Well, you see...um...um...uh...bye!" I stuttered, then flashed out. I appeared in England's Big Ben. Why didn't I get rid of it the moment he walked into the room?! I berated myself, refraining from hitting my head against the wall until all the golden ichor inside me drained. I was safe in England. So I think I'll stay here a little while. Well, at least that's what I thought until I heard his voice.
"Arty! Wait!" Hermes called.
I ran as fast as I could but ultimately failed, seeing as he caught up to me pretty quick. "What? Did you come to laugh at me? Tell me how it's never going to happen? Tell me that I'm a pathetic little girl who can't keep her vow?" I seethed.
He looked taken aback. "What?! I would never do that! I came to tell you this."
"What-" I was cut off by his lips."Mmm..." I moaned as his tongue traced the seam of my lips. I let him in with a gasp and he explored my mouth. We battled for dominance. He won.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, panting.
I kissed him again.
Done! That kissing scene made me feel so awkward. Review loves! ღ
