I checked my facebook account for the 20th time today. Addictive? Hmm...maybe.

Oooh! Look! New message! Hmm...from Hannah Stoppers? Do I know...?

Message- Hey Fallon! How was school today?

Hm. Maybe I do know her? I mean, how else would she know my name... right?

Message- Um, good. Do I know you?

She didn't reply. Hm, well maybe she just logged off!

Message- Of course I do silly!

I don't remember any Hannah Stoppers. Well, I was probably just forgetting.

Message- Oh yeah, now I remember! Haha, sorry, I'm a bit forgetful at times.

Another pause. Oh, she was probably just a slow typer!

Message- Yep.

Hmm...well there's no reply to that!

"Fallon?"

I quickly shut my bedazzled pink laptop. My parents didn't know I had a Facebook. And I'm pretty sure it'll break my heart making my parents not trust me anymore. Sigh.

"I'm in here!"

I heard footsteps getting louder as they neared my door. My mom. I would recognize the click of her Chanel heels anywhere.

She knocked on my door. "Can I come in?"

I glanced at my closed laptop.

"Sure!"

The door clreaked as she slowly opened it.

"What are you doing?"

I fake yawned and cracked my knuckles.

"Oh, nothing. Just catching up on my science essay."

"Aww," my mom walked closer to me and ruffled my hair. I giggled. I kinda loved it when she did that.

"My hard working girl!"

Before I could reply, she pulled her hand away and walked out the door, slamming it as she left.

I sighed and slumped in my chair. My hard working MOTHER. She probably was off to another meeting. No matter it was 6 at night.

Hmm...and I was alone. I glanced at my closed laptop.

I flipped the top open. Another new message!

Message-Hey Fallon!

It was from Hannah. I thought this over. I may have talked to her at first, but it probably was just safer to check her profile first. I clicked it.

Hmm...that's strange. No pictures or anything. Plus she didn't have any other friends other than me! Maybe...maybe she was just a loner? But what about the pictures?

Message-Hi, Hannah

Message- Is your mom out?

I closed the computer. I decided to no longer hold a conversation with Hannah. There was something off about replying to that. And especially someone you don't know! I should just...block her. I opened my laptop again.

Message- Well, is she?

The new message said. I didn't know what to say. A new message popped in every second I hesitated.

Message- She probably is.

Mesage- Or you wouldn't be on facebook!

Message- right?

My hand hesitated over the little mouse pad.

Message- Um, yeah. She's out.

The message that came back was a little smiley face.
