Malon watched them and through her eyes she saw something that they might never see themselves...Inside her auburn orbs burned happiness, quiet jealousy, and a piece of saddness.
It was not because she had loved him and knew he didnt feel the same but because he was so in love with another but had no idea. Her lips parted and released a sigh then smiled. Malon was not one to believe that there was just one "true" love out there...so she knew she would get over this heart break but there was something oddly cosmic about those two.
Like Fate had brought them together...
But would they ever be together?
She hoped so. Link was her best friend and, really, so was Zelda however much they were rivals.
That's when it occured to the Rancher.
Fate got them this far... why can't she finish the job?
Malon kicked off her boots and dashed across the field to catch up with her friends before they went home. "HEY! Link!"
He turned and smiled. "What is it?"
"When are you gonna tell Zelda that you love her?"
