I'm in the mood for something random...enjoy!

Juliet looked around her closet, looking for a dress suitable to wear to a 70's Dharma party. But all she could find were snazzy dresses from her previous life, including the one that she wore to her dinner with Ben. It brought back unpleasant memories, so she promptly tore it to shreds. Sawyer walked in the door, with three records in his hands, and stopped short at the sight of her.

"Uh, Juliet, I thought you said you were looking for a dress for tomorrow, not tearing them to bits," he said.

"Yeah, but I wore this one to a dinner with Ben. It would just be too awkward if I ran into him."

"For you, not for him. He's only a kid."

"Yes, but still..."

"Alright, alright..."

Juliet glanced at the records. "What are those for?" she asked.

Sawyer looked at them too. "Huh? Oh these. Horace and Phil asked me to supply some of the music. So I've got Simon and Garfunkel, Elton John, and Don McLean. All from the seventies, though I had to root through deep to find 'em. Got a lot of Nineties in there," he said.

Juliet turned back to the closet. "They'll do, I guess," she said.

Sawyer grunted.

Juliet turned back to him with a triumphant expression. "Aha! I found the dress!"

Sawyer looked at his watch. "Great. It's late. I'm going to bed. Night."

"Good night, James."

~*~*~

It was evening, and Sawyer was already at the party. Juliet was in her dress, about to head out the door, rushing because she was late. Her walkie - talkie buzzed, she picked it up, and Sawyer voice came out fuzzy.

"Juliet, I forgot the records, could you get them? They're -" he was cut off by static.

"Yeah, OK."

"Thanks."

Juliet ran over to the shelf grabbed the records, and ran out the door.

Juliet arrived at the hall, smoothed her hair and stepped inside.

She spotted Sawyer, and gave him the records, and he went over to the record player and put the first one on. He walked back over to Juliet. Suddenly whispers filled the hall. Sawyer looked around. People were murmuring to each other, than glancing at the record player. Sawyer froze.

"Sunshine, did you get the records on the coffee table?"

"No, they were on the bookshelf," she said, surprised.

Sawyer groaned. "Blondie, I had dug around for the 70's records, and I had put them on the coffee table. All the 90's ones were on the shelf!"

Juliet gasped. "So the 90's are playing?"

"Yup."

Horace came over to join them.

"LaFleur, what records did you choose? These are awesome!" he said enthusiastically.

Sawyer grinned. "It's a secret, but I'll tell you. The tracks called, "It's from the future," he said.

Juliet snorted into her drink.

Horace looked at her, then back at Sawyer. "Never heard of that song...oh well, it's brilliant!"

He walked off.

Juliet looked at Sawyer. "'The tracks called it's from the future.' Very nice, James," Juliet smirked.

Sawyer smiled. "Well, it's the truth..."

"Barely. Close one, there. You have to be more careful," she muttered.

Sawyer smiled wider. "Ah, let it go, Blondie. Come on, let's dance!"

And he led Juliet out onto the dance floor.
