"Ooh, can I have something awesome in my armor like lasers? Oh my god, that'd be awesome! I can't wait to get my own armor! When will you be done with it? Are you following my designs? I-" Pepper ranted as she sat by Tony in the armory. Tony chuckled as he listened to her go on and on, talking through as she texted her father.

"Ugh, I have to go home. I'll call you later to talk about it, don't worry! See you later!" Pepper exclaimed as she walked out of the lab. Rhodey chuckled after she left.

"You're not actually going to give her her own armor, are you?" He asked.

"I don't know. It wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea…" Tony said.

"Wait, really? You're not serious."

"Well, just think of how many times Pepper's gotten herself into trouble that Iron Man has had to save her from. I think that if she had a suit of her own it'd happen less."

Rhodey thought in silence for a moment.

"Actually, that's a pretty good point."

"Exactly. Plus, I think she'd be able to handle it. I just couldn't live with myself if something happened to her because I couldn't protect her." Tony said quietly, looking down at the floor as such thoughts crossed his mind. They made him shiver; a world without his eccentric, fiery best friend.

"So that's why…" Rhodey mumbled.

"What?" Tony asked.

"You're giving her a suit because you're in love with her."

"What? That's crazy. You're crazy." Tony responded nervously.

"Oh, admit it, it's so true. You know it's no use lying, since you're so bad at it." Rhodey said with a smirk on his face that said the same.

"Alright, so maybe my life is nothing without her, so what?" Tony responded after a moment of silence. Rhodey chuckled.

"You are so whipped…"

Tony grunted and turned back to his work.

Soo this is gonna be a two-part one-shot, if that makes any sense. I'm about to finish writing a follow-up to this, like a sequel but not really…well, you'll see when the second part is posted. Anyways, review?
