The centaurs of the Forbidden Forest watched the skies. It had been a few years since Voldemort had been driven off by a young human boy and his Death Eaters scattered and in prison or having bought their way out of going there.
For the centaurs not much had changed because of that. Not that they honestly expected it anyway.
A young foal looked to the heavens. He looked at an unknown object and asked, "What is that?"
Bane had a somewhat annoyed expression and looked up. The hunter wondered why he had to help teach the youngsters about the night sky when there were others more suited for the task. And gasped as the object was an entirely new celestial object in the sky. It was the size of the moon and appeared to be made entirely of metal. It seemed to radiate an ancient power that honestly scared Bane to the core.
Then an unnatural wind cut through the forest and ancient trees snapped like dry twigs. Next the ground under them started to shake and move. Fissures formed and it was a struggle for the centaurs to stay standing.
"I don't know, but I think we're all going to die," Bane said softly and fearfully.
