Merry Christmas:

Disclaimer: I do not own Harvest Moon, nor any of the characters in this story.

The snow fell from the roof of the Sundae Inn. Akari smiled faintly as she looked outside of the window, watching the snow fall, blanketing the ground. Chase watched Akari, wondering why she was so fascinated with the snow. It wasn't anything special.

"Akari," Chase called to her. "Why are you so fascinated with the snow?" Akari looked down, her smile dropping a bit.

"My parents and I used to come outside and play in the snow." Akari smiled once again, her smile being sad. Chase knew how sensitive Akari was about her parents so he backed off, and tried to make the situation better.

"Well at least it's Christmas! Right?" He looked over at the young lady, only to see she was about to head outside, clad only in a short sleeved green top, with shorts barely covering her knees.

"Hey, Akari!" She looked up as soon as she heard her name being called.

"Yeah?" She answered, currently putting on her snow boots, the only winter thing on her frame.

"Where are you going?" He turned her so she would face him, his eyes connecting with hers. Her pale face turned a scarlet color and she averted her eyes.

"Outside." Akari dashed outside before she could be told no, the cook chasing after her.

"You're going to make yourself sick!" Chase shouted, taking off his jacket and putting it on her tiny frame. Akari shivered a bit, then smiled up at him.

"Why would you care?" She questioned. "I mean, you're the person that doesn't really care about anyone." The words stung Chase a bit, but nonetheless, he hid his emotions and looked straight at her.

"I care about you." His cheeks turning red, he turned away from her and shivered. "Let's get you inside Akari." Akari skipped merrily inside, humming "We wish you a Merry Christmas".

"Chase cares about me, with a bright red blush on his face!" She sang to the tune of the song, slightly off-key. Chase rolled his eyes and looked upwards. Noticing a mistletoe on top of the ceiling gave him an idea.

"Chase cares about me, with a bright red blush on his-" The girl was cut off, Chase's soft lips on hers. Akari blushed scarlet, like earlier. Chase smirked and turned, heading into the kitchen.

"It got you to shut up." He started to hum the tune that the farmer was singing a second ago, then smiled. Akari snuck into the kitchen, with a mistletoe in her hand and held it above Chase and herself. Before the chef got to ask what she was doing, the farmer stood on her tip-toes and kissed him. Click! A flash of white flashed in their eyes and Kathy stood with a camera in her hands. Both the farmer and chef blushed a deep red and ran out of the kitchen, each saying in unison one word.

"KATHY!"
