The young man clamps his jaw tightly shut and looks her square in the eye.
"Hell no."
The young woman before him frowns with disappointment.
"But why? It'll be fun. Just like the old days. Remember at Granny's house that little stream nearby where we'd-"
"I said no." he rebuffs again but his eyes are a little wider this time and his checks are beginning to change color. But she barely notices and clutches onto his arm.
"Don't be so cold Shiro-chan-"
"That's Captain Hitsu-"
"Ugh! There you go again! Come on, for old times' sake. It'll do us both some good."
She doesn't get it. She doesn't understand just how her suggestion is making his body react. He stifles a groan and balls his hands into fists to control himself.
"…Hinamori."
"Yes?"
"You do realize that fine lieutenant such as yourself is asking her superior if he can take a bath with her, right?" She smiles cheekily.
"Titles don't matter between us Toshiro."
But titles should matter, or at least he wants them to. That way she can figure out that he's no longer a kid, that he's someone she can look up to, and that he's freaking crazy about her!
"So what do you say? Please…Captain Hitsugaya?"
She pulls out those silly but adorable puppy eyes of hers and he begins to wonder if taking a bath with her wouldn't be as bad as he's making to out to be.
"I'll keep begging until you say yes! Pretty please with sweet nattou* on top?"
"Alright, calm down. I'll take a bath with you. Satisfied?"
Momo grins in triumph and flashes her pretty white teeth at him. "I knew you'd give in! Just make sure to bring some shampoo, soap, a towel-"
"Speaking of towels, make sure to keep yourself covered with one while we're together okay." he cuts her off casually. Momo raises her eyebrows in question. "Why's that?" He smirks.
"There's only so much a young man like me can handle Momo."
It takes a while but sudden realization hits her hard and she blushes a pretty red.
Jackpot.
*Fermented beans. According to his bio, this is Toshiro's favorite food.
See? Toshiro can be suggestive when he wants to be.
