Inferno

All though his very being was being burned alive, Anakin could feel his heart turn cold. Locked in a frozen chamber as his love for Obi-Wan burned along with the flesh on his body. Memories of holding each other after they had made love, memories of when Anakin was sick and Obi-Wan took care of his aching body floated to the surface of his mind.

But not this time. This time Obi-Wan was the cause of his anguish. The cause of this wrenching pain, the cause of him dying. Pain erupted through his body once again, as the flames of the Lava consumed his hair, his flesh, his everything. But these flames were no where near the heat of hatred Anakin flet towards his Obi-Wan.

No, not his Obi-Wan. His killer, his enemy, his nothing.

"I HATE YOU!" And he did. He would forever hate the man that betrayed him, hate the man that he had once loved. He hated him for crushing his soul, his heart, and all because he wanted to help.

Misted words reached his burning ears, indecipherable over his own screams of pain and fury. He could only look up, look in to those eyes that would forever burn in his memory and haunt him.

He would have cried, had the Lava not already consumed all of the moisture in his body. He would have cried, sobbed, weeped for the man that had now begun to walk away. Walk out of his life forever.

The once beautiful man lost his grip on the decaying ground, slumping further back down to the Lava River. Further back down to his destiny. He was losing, losing everything he had accomplished, losing his life, his love, his feelings, he was just...losing.

After the fire had burned him, after he had been transformed in to a new being, after he was caged in the Black Armor, this new being stood before the View port his master standing at his side. Silence insued and all though Lord Vader was what he was now, all Anakin could think about... was Vengence. The void in his heart, the part that Obi-Wan had once resided in, was full of hatred. Fury. Betrayal. It was all Vader could think about.

But it was only to hide the small part of him that was lonely.

For the man caged away from the world, his heart incarcerated in a frozen void, no longer had a reason to exist. This was his punishment, his punishment for loving, for caring, and for being weak.

Never again, never again.

The End

Okay. I actually had this written before "Embers" but i wanted you to read that first so you would understand the "Misted words reached his burning ears, indecipherable over his own screams of pain and fury." part. I loved writing this one, and i hope you all enjoyed it.

Sorry for the string of sadness, but hey, you know you loved it.

PS: The title Inferno, represents not only the River of Fire, but the suffering of the most unwelcome emotions known did to one man. The inferno of Hatred, caused by pain and hurt. The pain and hurt caused by a believed betrayal. The Inferno, the hell, and the suffering that Anakin endured, and the horror he placed himself into becoming Darth Vader.
