Homura takes a deep breath of the forest air, the cool damp air much different than the air of the busy city where she, technically spent the last year and a half in.

Most would appreciate the difference, but to her, it was more worrying. She then opens her eyes, she laid flat on her back looking towards the many shining stars of the night twinkling above.

She immediately tries to rise to her feet, only to fall back to her knees, it then hits her, she was not physically injured but she was shaken like she just got caught in the outer range of an explosion.

Outside of the center where most of the true damage would happen, but hit by the displaced heat and motion that would shake even the most hardened war veteran.

She then feels her ears ringing but they quickly healed with the sound became quitter and quitter, she then heard the sounds of muffled breathing. She snaps her head to the sounds under a meter beside her. Her number one worry was quickly steady upon seeing the pink haired Madoka passed out, with Mami, Kyoto, and Sayaka all close by.

Homura took a, well deserved, relaxing breath as she relaxed she tries to figure out how everyone else ended up there. But, her memory seemed to have a gap.

She remembers Sayaka and Kyoto fighting on the bridge, she remembers dropping in to stop it, only to be grazed by a shot from a certain blonde haired girl she never saw eye to eye with. Thought, that seems to be all she could remember.

She takes one more deep breath, having mostly recovered she stands before summoning her shield and reaching in it talking out a small smartphone. She opens it up and tries to find her current location, though oddly the phone struggles to work, with some hassle, she was able to get an idea of where she was.

"Georgia, USA?"

How did we get here?

Homura thinks to herself, how could they be on the other side of the world, could it be, a wish?

Then a thought hits her. She quickly runs to Madoka side dropping to her knees and looks at her hands, nothing was there.

With a quick sigh of relief, Homura then looks around they are in a small circular clearing in the middle of a forest. The clearing couldn't be bigger than 10 meters long, it still puzzled her, there on the other side of the world, and it Madoka definitely didn't make a wish. So, how did they get here?

But this thought was pushed to the side as Mami starts to stir and wake up.

As Mami rose up she and Homura locked eyes with one another. Mami immediately noticing the area is much different to the city she knows well.

"What did you do Akemi?" Mami said with unbridled fury.

"I didn't do anything Tomoe. I'm just as lost as you are. Somehow we are in the United States, and I feel if anything is to blame it's probably your Kyubey."

"How dare you blame Kyubey for, wait, the United States? Are you sure?" Mami says a little more confused than angry.

"Here," Homura tosses the phone.

Mami catches it and looks at its screen, a small red dot over the united states of America, in the state of Georgia, and the legend on the side of the screen 'You are here'.

"Oh, dear." Mami accidentally lets slip from her lips.

Homura nods, "For now, until we understand what's going on, we should call seize fire, I know how badly you want to kill me, but power in numbers especially in the middle of nowhere for somewhere neither of us has been."

Mami looks at her before thinking it over, vaguely remembering a story about coyotes and snakes in Georgia, before nodding in agreement.

"Fine, but when we get back, you will pay for what you did. You monster."

Mami was always against Homura, but being on the opposite side of the world would be enough to make anyone a bit more cooperative.

"So, do you have any idea Tomoe?" Homura asks looking over at Mami, and getting no answer.

"Well, here is my plan, wait for them to wake up," Homura says pointing to the three still asleep, "then we start moving, try to find a city when we find to make our way to the police station. If we tell them we got no idea what's going on and how we got here, they probably just write us off as some kidnapping victims and send us back to Mitakihara."

Mami nods in agreement, the plan did sound reasonable.

"Alright, we can agree on that." Homura says before setting down.

"So, I'm assuming you have a gap in your memory as well Tomoe?" Homura asks curiously if she knew more then her.

Mami nods, "The last thing I remember is our fight on the bridge." Mami says now panning her eyes over the forest all around them.

The thick forest created a lush green and brown underbrush all around them, the faint sound of animals can be heard.

A few minutes pass before the red-haired Kyōko starts to stir and rise up a little.

"O, ouch, did I drink some bad vodka, because if so, this is officially the worst hangover I have ever had." Mami and Homura both look at her with Kyōko returning the glance.

"What? Shut it, I'll do what I want. Wait, where are we?" Kyōko says now rubbing the back of her head.

"Georgia, United States." Homura replies.

"Neat." Kyōko says, "Wait, weren't we trying to kill you?" Kyōko says looking at Homura,

"We are holding off on that until we get back." Mami informs her.

"Alright." Kyōko then lays back and looks up at the starry night sky, "So we waiting on them to wake up?"

Mami replays with a yes. The minutes pass by as they wait, the echoing sounds of birds and animals creating a relaxing sounds of the tranquil forest.

The Skyranger engines roar outsid the small interior of the heavily modified vertibird was flying to somewhere in the Georgia mountain range.

The radio then flairs to life.

"This is central, after a report of the power going out in the city center that stands were Atlanta once stood we launched an investigation and quickly discovered a large amount of power was redirected to this site your heading to. Whatever is going on it must be important. The commander wanted you to sense your the most skilled guys we have sense squad alpha one has gone dark. Theirs a high chance for the chosen to be present so watch your backs. That's all alpha two, good luck."

One white-haired woman slips on a mask with glowing green eyes revealing to any trained eyes that it hides night vision goggles inside it. A long grey trench coat covering all of her body with even her hands in gloves. She then loads a bullet into her personally modified Vektor rifle's chamber before loading in the magazine.

The masked woman then harshly looks over at the only other women.

The other woman had short black hair with green eyes. The other woman inspects her weapon trying to avoid the masked one looking at her. She looks over her rifle, a .50 caliber sniper rifle with her own custom dark grey paint job.

On the sky ranger three-man also set on the opposite side of the two women.

"So, would you guys mind introducing yourselves, I'm still a fairly new recruit, and I really don't know why the commander sent me." Asked the recruit nervously with his small gremlin drone turned off in his lap akin to a sleeping dog.

One of the other guys beside him laughs.

"Oh! Right forgot we got a recruit this mission."

The man points to himself, "I'm Connor, the ranger, I stab stuff really good.

"He," Connor then points to a man with a black visor helmet covering his eyes and nose with strange devices on his wrist and a machine pistol on his outer thigh.

"He is Alex. He's a Templar and a bit of an alcoholic!" Connor says laughing and gently japing Alex's side with his elbow.

"What? I like my vodka! Is that so wrong! You sure liked passing out after downing a glass of the good stuff!" Alex says jokingly punching him.

Alex and Connor's more warming personality clashes harshly with the two women sitting across remaining quiet, both trying make eye contact with everything but each other.

"Oh the one in the mask is Anna, and the other ones Tessa."

Connor then leans in and whispers to the recruit, "They really aren't the talkative type."

Connor then leans back into his seat and relaxes, "And the reason your here, our normal field medic suffered some injuries. She should be ready to deploy by tomorrow, but this mission came up and we really couldn't wait.

" Connor says. Then they hear from there shoulder mounted coms.

"This is Firebrand, we will be dropping in 10 minutes."

As the message ends Connor then removes his shotgun stored above him and pumps it.

"Well, that's our queue boys, let's get ready to tear some aliens to shred."

o - o - o - o - o

Sayaka is startled wake as she feels something poking her face.

"Hey, you wake yet?" She hears from Kyōko voice, she then opens her eyes seeing Kyōko sitting beside her.

"Hey, you're alive, great," Kyōko says.

Sayaka lifts herself up and sees Madoka still peacefully asleep, she then notices Mami watching the area around them, and Homura, still standing.

"Why are you not doing anything she's right there." Sayaka says aggressively pointing at Homura.

"Chill, we are currently in the United freaking states so we are calling a peace treaty until father notice. Trust me as soon as we get back I'm going at her again, I want those grief seeds Tomoe promised." Kyōko says with a greedy smile on her face.

"I, but," Sayaka says trying to pull herself up.

"Easy there! I know you want to get her, but relax, you can wait a couple of hours." Kyōko says trying to calm her down.

"F, fine." Sayaka says setting down. "But I swear I will kill her. Once we get back." Sayaka says with fury in her eyes.

Homura then notices the slightly raised Sayaka.

"Good, your awake." She says, "Now we are waiting on Kaname." She then turns back before watching the forest again.

They all listen to the forest sounds, the birds chirping a calming melody and the humming of bugs and other creatures as the night goes on.

Until, they hear a twig snap, and suddenly the forest was quiet, not a single animal could be heard, something had distributed the forest.

"Did everyone hear that?" Mami says with the sound of nature silenced only leaving the eerie ringing of tinnitus setting in.

Kyōko raised up to her feet. "Hey, does anyone else feel like there being, watched?"

Suddenly Mami summons her magical girl attire and her musket in her hands ready to fire which Sayaka and Kyōko quickly follow with there own weapons drawn.

Just as this happens Madoka stirs awake and looks up at the group. "W, what's going on?" She stumbles on her words still half asleep.

"Kaname, keep your head down, I don't think we're alone," Homura says reaching into her shield and drawing out a small fully automatic handgun.

Madoka keeps to the ground while everyone begins circling the clearing watching the forest waiting for even a single movement or for even a single bush to be disturbed.

For a few minutes, nothing happens, eventually Kyōko lowers her weapon and calls out, "I guess we were just being-"

She was then hit with a small dart in the side of her neck only able to yell out, "WHAT THE-" before toppling to the ground with her weapon and magical girl outfit vanishing.

All there eyes then fall on her neck, seeing a small empty needle.

"That's a tranquilizer!" Homura says before turning to see where the shot came from seeing a creature jumping from a tree branch to the ground trying to relocate its self.

"Tomoe! See if you can get a shot on that thing." Mami turns and tries to aim a clear shot at the evasive create.

Homura turns around and yells at Sayaka "I don't think that thing is alone. Miki, protect Kaname."

Sayaka begins to run towards her pink haired friend, before suddenly being hit in the back of the head knocking her to the ground.

Homura turns just in time to see a tall, purple, creature standing over Sayaka.

Homura opens fire at the creature proceeded to doge several of the bullets with only one of the several hitting the creature,

"Only a few have ever hurt me. You will be the last." The thing says before vanishing into thin air.

"What was that!" Mami yells out new trying to pin down the location of both creatures.

"I don't know," Homura replies putting the pistol back in her shield to replace it with a compact assault rifle.

Mami and Homura keep looking around trying to watch for even a slight glint of light but seeing no hint of the creature's location.

"Tomoe I have an idea."

Mami cuts her off and replies back, "I don't care what it just do it!" She says still unable to find the first creature much less the second.

Homura then reaches into her shield and produces a single flashbang. She quickly pulls the pun and throws out the flashbang that triggers midway in the air suddenly the second creature reappears blinded by the light which Homura uses as her chance to empty the rifle's magazine into it.

The second creature littered with holes falls over dead to the ground.

Homura is then hit by a tranquilizer dart, "Oh f-" Homura attempts to say before passing out as well.

Mami finally locks her sights on the creature she quickly fires hitting the creature center mass the impact form the hit knocking the thing off its tree branch, if the shot its self doesn't kill it the fall surely would.

But just as her rifle's pellet left its barrel she is struck with a dart just like Homura and Kyōko. She struggles to stay on her feet before passing out as well.

Madoka then cautiously looks up seeing everyone else knocked unconscious.

o - o - o - o - o

The sky ranger flys off as the team hits the ground.

"This is squad leader Anna checking in, the landing area is clear. Processing to the mission site." Anna says moving forward to the mission location with the squad right behind her.

They move through the forest dodging trees and the spider webs, until coming upon a strange puddle of brownish liquid.

"Hold." Anna says the whole squad stops in their tracks, she then leans down and investigating the liquid.

"It looks like," She then touches the liquid and smells the substance.

"This is chosen blood." She then notices the outline of where a rifle must have fallen into the mud and understand what must have happened.

"Someone killed the chosen hunter here, only one spot of blood, they did it in one clean shot. Impressive." She says with the team mutters some shocked gasp.

"Well killing the chosen hunter is your specialty, looks like you might find a new friend Anna." Connor says chuckling, but his chuckles stop when they hear a faint, high pitched voice call out.

"Hello? Is someone out there? I think my friends need some help."

They all raise their weapons.

"Sounds like it's coming from the clearing up ahead. Stay back, I will get eyes on whoever is talking." Anna says before moving forward. She ducks down into bushes.

She moves slowly taking each step with care. After a few seconds, she can finally see the clearing, she looks overseeing four children passed out cold and one small pink haired child calling out for help.

"Hello? Is anyone there? I really think my friends need help." The child calls out.

Anna immediately jumps into action. She runs out of her hiding spot and calls into her come.

"We have civilians. Team secures the area, medic check the downed vitals, and Sky ranger we need EVAC on my location."

o - o - o - o - o

Madoka is shocked when she sees someone covered in head to in military gear and a trench coat with a mask with glowing green eyes run form the woods towards her.

"What! W-Who are you!" Madoka says backing up a little.

The masked figure replays back with a surprisingly feminine voice, "That's not important, are you okay?"

The woman is then followed by three more people dressed in average military clothes and a man with some black reinforced plating covering him, and some sort of flying drone was with them. The one with the drone flying next to him drops to one knee and inspect Mami's unconscious body.

"Gremlin scan for vital." The man says the little drone makes several small noises he then looks at a small screen on it and before announcing.

"Vital is green, but she has been hit by some of the chosen hunter's tranqs. They will be back up in four hours."

"What are you talking about? What's a 'Chosen hunter'? Why? Where? They-" Madoka is cut short as another man says.

"Holy, Anna we have more chosen blood here. The chosen assassin was here too." The masked person looks over at him and yells.

"I said to secure the area!" The masked person then looks back at Madoka with a much more calming tone and kind tone.

"Hey, there kiddo. We are with the military, and this place isn't safe. You and your friend will have to come with us back to our base, Alright?"

Madoka still is extremely confused but these people do look like soldiers, if they really are military it probably is much safer with them then being left alone out in the woods.

"Okay." Madoka replies.

"Good. Oh, I probably should tell you who I am, my names Anna. And that,"

Suddenly the sound of roaring engines pierces the sky as some flying thing starts hovering over them.

"This is Firebrand ready to EVAC." The radio on Anna's shoulder says as the thing overhead drops several ropes.

"Is our ride," Anna says cheerfully before looking back at everyone else.

"Alright, Everyone picks a kid and get them up to the Sky ranger, we are leaving," Anna says.

She helps Madoka take one the several ropes, as she took hold of the rope suddenly it yanked her into the Sky.

Madoka watches as she quickly rises above the trees before being pulled into a flying vehicle hovering in the sky.

o - o - o - o - o

Hours later somewhere deep, deep underground.

A purple glowing figure towers over the two tall, slim, purple creatures.

"You were told to capture them. How did you fail?" The glowing thing said. One of the purple things reply.

"We did not expect-" Both purple creatures are pushed to the ground by a purple aura as the glowing creature yells out in rage.

"WE GIFTED YOU OUR POWERS AND YOU SQUANDER THEM!"

The glowing creatures head begins to glow a bright orange. The glowing thing keeps yelling and bombarding the creatures with there fury, scolding them for the failed mission, it then clams, it's head stops glowing and stops forcing the creatures to the floor.

"We have little time, if not we would, truly punish your wasteful actions. Go, capture them, we will not be as forgiving if you fail us again, do not waste our gift." The glowing creature then disappears.

Both creatures rise to there feet.

"They are in my continent, I will take them of them, sisters." One of the creatures says with angry before being covered in purple light and vanishing the other

Anna's team safety extracted Madoka and her friends to the sky ranger above them.

Within a few hours, the sky ranger landed back in the sky behemoth called The Avenger.

As the sky ranger lands Connor looks over at Madoka and tells her, "Welcome to the avenger."

As the doors of sky ranger fling open several people with medical stretchers roll in.

"We're here for the civilians." One of them said with a medical cross on the side of his uniform.

They gently rest the four conscious ones on the stretchers. Anna then lowers herself to Madoka eye level, now with her masked removed with her white hair and her light blue eyes on full display.

"Your friends are going to be alright. They will be resting up in the medical center. We just need to head up to the bridge and you will need to answer some questions, nothing big, just your name and where you're from, things like that. Then we can get you guys back to your parents right away." Anna says in a calm polite tone.

"O-okay." Madoka replays, now reassured she made the right choice.

"Good," Anna says standing back up, "This way to the bridge." Anna says slowly walking away with Madoka tailing just behind.

In the Average's bridge, Anna and Madoka set in front of a man staring into an advanced computer screen.

"So, full name please." The man asks.

"Madoka Kaname."

"Alright, where ya from?"

"Mitakihara City, Japan."

"Umm," the man says sounding a little annoyed but trying to be polite, "I know that some of y'all like calling your city center your own names and all but we really can't keep up with all of them different names. So, which advent city center is that?"

Madoka looked puzzled, "City center? Advent?" She says confused.

The confusing look was on Anna and the man face as well.

"Advent. Those guys in red and black, serving the aliens, you never heard of them?"

Madoka looks even more confused, "What are you talking about? Aliens?" Madoka says even more perplexed.

"Wait, Hey let me talk to her." Anna says turning over and looks at Madoka.

"Look, I know this question is weird, I just have a hunch. Just answer me, what is the last year you remember?"

Madoka looks at Anna like she had just gone craz.

"2011, but why does that matter?" Madoka says.

Anna and the man look at each other.

"Well. There isn't much I can do then."

The man then looks at Madoka dead in the eye.

"Kid, the current date is 2047 April fourth, aliens have taken over the earth and from reading the post-mission report I just received, there best and brightest, called the chosen, want to capture you and your friends alive. I don't know why, and really I don't care, I'm going to the bar. Anna can deal with ya."

The man promptly gets up and starts walking away. Madoka slowly turns over to look at Anna looking a little nervous.

"Yea, he, he's telling you the truth." Anna says nervously.
