Sunrise. Sunset

'This is beautiful.' Vala told him.

'Yes it is.' Daniel agreed.

'I can't believe I've never seen the sunrise before. Well not properly. Not like this. The closest I ever got to seeing one was when I was running and even then I didn't stand and watch it.'

Daniel wrapped his arms around Vala's waist and she leant into his side. He kissed the top of her head and she smiled.

'With everything that's happening, I know we don't get to do this much. So thank you.'

Daniel returned the smile and they both turned to face the rising sun.

Daniel thumbed through a textbook and sighed.

'This is pointless.' He mumbled.

Vala sat in the corner of the room, surrounded by books. She carelessly flicked through an old transcript. She sighed and chucked the book in front of her.

'Careful with that.'

'Sorry, is it worth something?'

'Well, no. It's just a… good transcript.'

Vala looked at him strangely before jumping up and grabbing his shirt.

'Come on Daniel.'

'What? Uh… no.'

Vala persisted him and dragged him out of his office and to the elevator.

'Where are we going?'

'Topside. I want to see the sunset.' She grinned.
