Lovers Cannot Weather This

A little poem inspired by the show...written around the time, I wrote 'The Love Thieves.'

This just some sappy little poem, I wrote inspired by 'La Femme Nikita.'

Lovers cannot weather this…

There is no love

In this place

We cannot see beyond the day

So why live it

Fully

Take you in my arms

We have only seconds

The luxury of a lifetime is gone –

That's the way it is

No other way

Wake up

Never knowing

If we had the time –

Open my hand

You slip on through

Liars cannot be lovers

Lovers cannot weather this –

No one day – no one-day

We can not take seconds and make them forever's

Cannot promise you – always

And truth – passion stolen

When the eyes meet

Only a moment

You are in me

There is no place for us here

No room to navigate

We breathe – we walk – we try

Sooner or later

We will die

And you know as I know

As we all know

Love like the rest of the world

Has forgotten are existence
