MOON

"As I watch the half moon, I hope you're hoping its other half."

She smiled the moment our eyes met. Happiness illuminated on her eyes, but I knew it's not me she was to see but the role she saw me as. I watched her waved goodbye and continued on assisting the old woman, the very reason why she was on our locale. She was a missionary sister assigned on this very chaotic place of ours. Her name's HInata, the crowned princess of the prestigious clan of Hyuga, who submitted herself to the calling of the Christian Lord.

The wind was cold that night, yet I still felt warm. Maybe because of the clothes I wore. The sky was deep azure and the moon continued shining its borrowed light upon this lonely night.

I knew it was a good decision to forget and move on with my feelings for her, but still my heart yearns for a happy ending with the person it beats for.

My thoughts were abruptly disturbed by a knock on the door.

"Imam Gaara, the Koran is already on your table. Our fellow Muslims were inside the mosque now, shall we go?" asked Kankuro, his assistant.

Not only that we were worlds apart, our distance was even farther than the gap between heaven and hell. I glance ar the half-moon for te last time, hoping that as I was watching its other half, she's also watching the other. Hoping that someday, the reunion of the two will make our lives FULL.

P.S: I know HInata and Gaara pairing is lame. Eww. I'm not even in favor of them, but their characters suits best for this story so… well, the rest was history. HAHA. Pasensyahan nalang.

A/N: I thought that OOCs and AUs are only found in fanfics, yet the controversies, make believe stories, exaggerated characters and the like are even consecutively and incidentally appearing in real life. Come to think of it, Shakespeare (ROMEOXJULIET) once said, "REALITY IS WEIRDER THAN FICTION." So much to that, I'm talkative ain't i? HAHA. This is for those who are still having crises in life; YOU'RE NOT ALONE.
