"I wanna wear your cape."
—
When asked twenty minutes later, while Jedediah ran around, fists held out - one in front, one behind him, like a superhero, the red cape billowing behind him, why he let the cowboy borrow his cape, he would answer, rather embarrassedly.
"It was the puppy dog eyes." He said, covering his face with his hands. "They were just so wide, and blue!"
—
"Hey, Octy!" the blond yelled, running to stand face-to-face with the Roman.
"Yes, Jedediah?" the dark haired man sighed.
"I really like your cape." He smiled, holding a corner of the red material in his hands, stroking it.
"Yes, well so do I."
"Yeah, but you look normal with it on! I look like a superhero!"
"I must admit, you do look rather dashing whilst wearing it."
"See!"
"Yes, well, I will need it back shortly."
"Aww, you're no fun!" Jedediah pouted.
Octavius caught the baby blues and gave in once more.
"Oh dear lord, what have you done to me?" he muttered, shaking his head. "Fine, you may borrow the cape until just before sunrise."
The cowboy's smile was so bright.
"Thanks Octy!" he chirped, and then planted a quick kiss on the older man's lips. "You're the best!"
The blond then ran off, once again pretending to fly like a superhero, whilst Octavius was still in shock.
After a few minutes, the Roman came out of his shock, and shook his head.
"Sly devil." He sneered, but then he laughed. "Well, he does look adorable in it."
"I heard that! I ain't adorable!" Jedediah yelled from a distance.
"Oh yes, you really are."
