Here's a little snippet that just came to my head.
Disclaimer: Still No.
"All set for your Power Disc game today, guys?" Su asked the twins as they ran into the dining room, grabbing fruit from a basket on the table.
"Yeah, all set to kick Wei's butt!" Wing declared, raising his fist in the air before knocking an apple out of his brother's hand.
"I'm going to power disc your face!" Wei replied angrily.
"My face is your face!" I shouted as Wing ate the apple in one bite at the same moment that Wei punched him in the gut.
"Hey, you should come play with us," Wei offered Korra.
"Oh, I don't think I'd be much competition," Korra replied nervously.
"And Sage should come cheer us on, huh, bro?" Wing grinned, nudging his brother who choked on the bite of apple he was chewing.
"I think I'll have to pass," I replied with a nervous chuckle. "Don't want another mishap like last time."
"Oh, yeah, you're probably right," Wing replied, rubbing the back of his head.
Last time I went to watch their Power Disc game, one of them had mistakenly bended my arm off. I work with Varrick and while testing a weapon a while ago, it had malfunctioned and self-destructed. Instead of walking around like a cripple, I had developed a metal arm that could camouflage itself to look like real flesh.
So, yeah, that happened.
They both apologized vehemently, but I just laughed it off. It was a hassle to reattach it but other than that, no harm was done.
I've been working with Varrick to find a suitable alternative for metal that can't be bended, but until then, I've been avoiding the Power Disc court.
"As the avatar, Korra, you should have mastery over all the elements," Su was saying to Korra. "I'd be happy to show you the basics."
"Really?" Korra asked, smiling widely. "That would be great!"
There was a humming sound, and all the utensils on the table began to vibrate. The metal necklaces on Su, Wei and Wing began to pull towards the doors of the room and I felt my arm tugging towards the same direction. And suddenly the humming got louder and I, along with all the other metal items in the room, went flying towards a giant figure in the entrance of the room.
I slammed against the figure and the humming dulled. The figure's arm lifted to remove its mask, exposing Varrick's face. "It worked!" he exclaimed. "Zhu-Li, mark it down!"
"Um, Varrick," I whined, trying to tug my metal appendage off the magnetic suit. Luckily it was still attached to my body, but it didn't make it any less annoying.
"Magnet suit test successful," Varrick continued. "Power down."
Zhu-Li appeared in the doorway and tugged a giant cord. The humming stopped altogether and I collapsed to the floor, trays, forks, and cups falling on top of me.
"Now onto phase two," Varrick announced before walking away. "Zhu-Li cleans up this mess!"
"Wei, Wing, I think I need help," I called still buried under the metal objects. They scuttled over, each of the grabbing an arm before pulling me up onto my feet. "Thanks, guys. You're the best," I complimented, kissing each of their cheeks.
"We know," they replied in unison, hugging me tightly.
There you have it! I don't have a very interesting lifeā¦
