Timothy Turner looked into the dug-out grave, resting in the bottom was a coffin: the coffin of his mentor and adoptive father, Clark Blayne.

Tears wanted to well in his eyes, but his face remained stoic. There was no one for him now. He hadn't heard from his friends since a little after graduation, and of course his relatives were all deceased. He was 21 years old and alone.

Bankers and businessmen patted him on the back as they walked by the hole in the ground, paying their respects.

"Good luck taking over his company and funds." A partner said as he passed, "If you need help, you know where to call me."

It isn't the business I am particularly worried about. Tim thought, it is the city... Will Sparrow be enough?

His thoughts wandered back to the night Clark had been shot. He told me to check the 117th file on the BirdBrain. With the password 'Tiberius.' Whatever that means... Then he said aloud, "He said he was proud of me."

"I'm sure he was." That voice was no surprise. In fact, Tim had sensed Adam West's presence at the funeral within moments.

Gonna ask me about what happened, no doubt. Tim sighed.

"He was a good man, you know that." Adam placed a caring arm on his former ward's shoulder. "We need to know what happened."

Tim turned away, "It's none of your business, West." He picked up the ceremonial shovel, dug out a hefty clump of dirt, then tossed the first bunch of dirt onto Blayne's coffin reverently. "You have your city and we have ours."

Adam sighed. "You are trying hard to protect him, but I'm sure you know that whatever he died doing, we will find out."

"You won't. Believe me." Tim turned sullenly away and sulked to the limo. Normally Tim wouldn't have a chauffeur driver, but this time was different. The driver was described to be 'very good at keeping secrets' by his employer, a rich man and Clark's closest partner out of a city quite like Darkham. "Take me home, Alfred."

"Yes, Master Timothy." The elderly driver said with a British accent.

Before the car started, Adam knocked on Tim's window. "You know you are only hurting yourself!" Adam shouted through the thick tinted windows.

Tim shrugged. "We operated alone for years. This will be no different."

A/N: This will be a story about how Timmy went from the Fledgling Boy Wonder to the Feathered Avenger after his mentor's death. It will be a short epic with short chapters. It is kinda like Batman Begins but hopefully more comical and not so much cut and paste. Also expect quest appearances from Cat-Man, and du nununununu BATMAN! :P Tim's friends may not appear in the story but will be mentioned. SO it is a FOP BATMAN crossover... Don't think I've seen any of these before...
