#27 – Silence (Sherlock Holmes John/Sherlock)
The silence screamed in John's ear. The silence was so thick; he could feel it buzzing next to him. See, this had become a regular occurrence.
Why didn't they talk anymore? John certainly didn't know. Maybe they were growing apart. Maybe this was an integral part of every relationship. Perhaps all couples have their share of deafening silences. All John really knew was that it was becoming unbearable.
Sherlock appeared to be picking up on John's discomfort. "I assume the clinic was about as busy as usual today, am I correct?"
"Quite right." The silence never seemed so piercingly loud.
