They ignored the rules. They let their feelings guide them. In the beginning, it was wonderful. It was magnificent. It was everything that the two partners ever dreamed of. He loved her and she loved him, and they both finally realized that. They let their feelings, their hearts, guide them to a place that their heads would never allow. It was perfect.
After awhile though, something happened. They both became busy with work and they rarely saw each other outside of headquarters. After the long days at work they were both too tired to spend time together. They were quickly drifting apart, but neither Tony nor Ziva could grab onto the reigns of their relationship in time.
Tony hated to see it happen. He loved Ziva more than anything, but he didn't know what to do to save their relationship. It had been great in the beginning but now...now there wasn't enough time. He hated to know that they were drifting apart; he hated not being close to Ziva.
It happened though. Their relationship ended, without either of them discussing it. Tony wanted to win Ziva over again, but he didn't know where to start. Their relationship was great while it lasted and now it was only a memory that he had to cherish in his heart.
