So Chaos Fics, what about them? Well, they're unrealistic. I however do know how to make one that works: so I write this. It might start as some random Chaos fic (without the whole jackass brother thing that is in so many), but it does have logic. The one thing they all lack is logic. Not this one. Of course most also lack a good command of the English language, but some, however rare, don't.
So I don't own Percy Jackson. If I did, I have a feeling We'd have seen more Clarisse in HoO. Honestly, she's important! And where did Grover go...?
I was confused. Why did everyone, except Rachel, Chiron, and Tyson, hate me all of a sudden. And no actual explanation either.
So I was hiding in Rachel's cave while Tyson led the campers away. Chiron was in wheelchair form in a corner.
"This isn't the first time something like this has happened," Chiron started.
"What do you mean?" Rachel asked.
"Well, this is the normal attack tactic of one ancient immortal. He sleeps a lot, but when he wakes up, he has it in for civilization."
"If he does this all the time, then shouldn't you have figured out what to do?" I asked.
"Well, I did. You see, the funniest thing is, all that is required is to make them realize that this is happened. Un fortunately, the gods have seen this as an opportunity."
"An opportunity to what?" Leo asked, stepping in.
I immediately got defensive.
"Easy, bro. I'm on your side here. This is nuts, their so under a spell here."
"You're absolutely right, Mr. Valdez," Chiron said. "We could remove it, no problem, but the gods have told us not to do it publicly."
"Why not?" he asked.
"We are facing Chaos himself. He can see this camp. If his plan does not work now, he will make the spell stronger. Then it WILL work. All we have to do is spread the knowledge in secret, but not act as if anything changed. Percy has been assigned a quest from Zeus himself: spy on Chaos."
"Quest mates?" I asked.
"Two have so far volunteered: that would be Leo, and another friend of yours, Percy."
"Who on Earth could that be?" I asked.
"That would be me," Sadie Kane said, shimmering into existence.
"I know the tactics of his big snake servant. That's why he's dead now. I assume they'd be pretty similar."
"This should be one interesting quest," I concluded.
"Here's the plan," Chiron said. "Chaos is not fully aware of exactly who he isolates. It could be any number of the current greatest heroes. This time it was only one: Percy. However, he will not notice if we were to pretend for Leo and Sadie to both be rejected."
"I see your meaning." Rachel said. "What's my job?"
"You start telling everyone the truth. Chaos even won't be aware if he loses control until he sees it himself."
"So we have an advantage, for once," Sadie muttered.
"You are correct, Miss Kane. You will leave as soon as you get the signal."
"What signal?" I asked.
"You'll know it when you see it." Chiron winked at me.
See, there's logic. Chaos makes no sense, but then, he's chaotic. None of him makes sense. But the reason for Percy joining Chaos makes a ton more sense if he's spying on him. I actually have a bit of a plan for Tyson, though. You'll see...
R&R!
