Author's Notes: A Chris/Bianca drabble…because I absolutely love this couple and the show did not do them justice.

Stolen moments are their specialty. Eyes lock, a quick smile, and they slip away before anyone notices. The others don't trust her – traitor, they whisper – and he's tired and worn and struggling but they still find time for each other, still find solace in each other's arms. I love you is said for the first time in his darkened room, the two of them a tangle of legs and arms in the bedsheets. She responds easily with a less-than-chaste kiss, and he knows this is where he belongs.
He adores her sarcasm and deadly grace, she his endless strength and sly humor. They are always at each other's side, never one without the other. She is his, wholly and deeply, and she is not afraid to claim him as her own. The garden is their special place, echoing with memories of love and joy. He can't help but smile at the happiness that lights her eyes as he slips the ring onto her finger. Dark and light, good and evil, the lines blur and heritage isn't something that really matters anymore, not when chaos and death ravage the world outside.
When she first comes to him with the idea of planting her as a spy, the strategist in him sees the value of her proposal but the lover refuses to put her in so much danger. She wears him down, and together they develop an all-or-nothing plan to save the future. He aches at the thought of leaving her behind, worrying for her safety, and she smirks and reminds him that she's a big girl who can take care of herself just fine.
His heart leaps when he first sees her in the past, unable to understand why she is suddenly in front of him. He longs to touch her, kiss her, hold her in his arms, but he sees the shadows in her eyes and instinctively understands that things have changed, that something that has gone wrong. And yet he still trusts her, for there is a moment that passes between them, filled with love and hate and a desperate craving for more, and he realizes she is irrevocably his. Even though it's been months since his eyes last fell on her, he can still read her with a startling clarity and though her lips say differently, her body language is screaming at him, wanting him, loving him. And when she slips her hand into his as they step into the portal together, he understands for the first time that he will never ever lose her (soulmates always).
But his heart shatters in the future - "Haven't we been here before?" – "Maybe we will be again." – and he is forced to return, alone, to a time where familiar faces greet him only with glares and sharp words. He still has a mission to finish and he won't let her sacrifice be in vain. So he tucks his pain away, tossing restlessly night after night as he dreams of her, dreams of a life that vanished when she died. He keeps her ring on a chain around his neck, hidden safely and close to his heart so that she is still always with him. Her voice whispers in his ear, surrounding him and urging him on, his salvation when all seems lost and he is just about to give up on hope.
A silent wish, a silent prayer, as his life spills out on his parents' bed. All he can see is her face, all he wants is her at the end. And she is there, waiting for him. Their timeline no longer exists, but they don't care. Their fingers entwine as they disappear into the white expanse where all souls go, knowing that they will always find a way back to each other, in every lifetime.
