Omnipotence who became a Girl
When little Alma was born...she was born to a family of witches. Humans who have Magic Cores, not Magic Circuits like Magi who were humans who dabbled with the supernatural to gain the ability to use magic. Witches are in fact, the other half of humans since time memorial, separating themselves from humans who would try to have what they cannot.
But alas, they found out anyway even if wizards separated from these newly-developed humans, with both unaware of the other's existence, so concerned solely about themselves and secluded with each's unique culture and way of life. If Magi walk by logic, Wizardkind walk by whim.
When the Age of Man came, so did the Barthomeloi Family, followed by Valueleta and later, Meluastea...and the other Top 20 so-called Aristocratic Magi with their Branch Families...and later, despite their elitist natures, their much kinder and humane members took on disciples with talent, further creating new families of Magi.
Lily Potter was a girl with potential to be a Magus, and James Potter a Wizard.
Even without help, Lily was a natural. She discovered on her own instincts how to activate her circuits, her prana, and play with her powers as a child with great talent in energy control and efficiency. And she met Severus Snape who introduced her to the world of Witches, unaware of what she truly was.
And James Potter, clever and talented was equal to his wife in skill, but packed more power than she, having achieved Animagus Transformation at fifteen when those older than him tried and failed.
But Lily being a Magus caused a connection to her fellow Magi when she was pregnant with James' child later in life. His magic created by his core powered up this connection, causing their child to be connected to Magi despite being born with a Magic Core, overpowering the potential to grow Circuits in her soul from her mother as her paternal half is more powerful.
And this connection connected her to those who reached the Root, enabling her access as well as a child.
She was like Sajyou Manaka of Japan, wherein her connection to the Root caused her to learn every language and magical art in the world and a natural master at it.
As a baby, even though she cannot talk due to weakness of infants, nor can she use her full powers yet due to said weakness she was limited to her feebleness. She naturally understands her parents.
How happy they were that she was born, while also lamenting that she was born in their war-torn community, where there's a high chance that they might be killed and leave her orphaned or worse, killed before she can enjoy her life.
Alma didn't like that.
Her parents worried some more while giving her all their spare time, showing her that she was loved in what time they have left.
She liked that.
So she used that love to secure her future as a precaution.
She controlled her father to make a foolproof will set to activate should her parents die and she unable to do a thing.
She also knows there's a traitor in their midst...
That she cursed him with full strength when he held her, planting a cursed seed set to activate by thinking of betraying her parents and his friends to save his own skin.
It was a special curse, but casting it left her ill for days BECAUSE she's still a baby.
She pushed herself that hard for the sake of love.
One can only imagine the surprise of her parents and Sirius Black, when after giving Peter Pettigrew the secret of the Fidelius...he began changing grotesquely and as painfully as possible into his rat form while turning into a tree at the same time causing him to cry as if he was tortured. The Potters and Sirius gaped helplessly as they have no idea what to do.
'Peter?!' James gasped out
'Hey, the hell's goin' on?!' Sirius howled in freakout.
'We didn't do the ritual wrong, r-right?' Lily squeaked out in horror as her husband and Sirius tried to fix Peter to no avail, until little Alma smiled cruelly, a smile unseen by all. She then activated the second part of her curse, enabling them to see his treachery though her mother nearly dropped her in shock when the cursed man's treachery was projected from his eyes.
That he made a deal with Voldemort in exchange for his life!
Worry turned into hurtful fury from the betrayal, with the men hauling their former friend to the Ministry and her mother wept at how could a friend sell them out to death after everything. It was in the Prophet the next day.
The Evil of You-Know-Who
Can turn Friend into Traitor!
Peter Pettigrew's Treachery
Exposed! If we can't even trust
friends, what more of Family?!
So that was in the news next morning.
People were now wondering about the Fidelius Ritual and its effects if the one granted the secret was actually a traitor and may end the same way as Pettigrew.
Since the man became a literal half rat...thing and half tree while in seeming eternal suffering, he was now a guinea pig in the Department of Mysteries to figure him out while of course, keeping him that way. No less than a traitor deserves.
Out of paranoia, her parents and Sirius Black kept to themselves since, unable to trust anyone else now...
Just as how Alma intended it.
This way, her family lives.
She is also fully aware that someone else would benefit from her parents' death while banking on her survival because of a prophecy.
A prophecy that meant either her or Neville Longbottom. So his parents' deaths are also being banked on.
Power he knows not indeed.
Old fool doesn't know its her all~along.
The news also ensured that the Longbottoms took measures to protect themselves as a result as well, and other families became fearful.
Alma was ill for weeks, after giving her father and godfather 'a touch of luck' in surviving and capturing Death Eaters, and succeeding in persuading others to put forth fair trials with Veritaserum.
Although her being ill worried her family more.
Her last gift before she fell into a coma she'd survive from anyway, was Sirius' fertility 'jacked-up on steroids' and his genes cleared of his family's trademark mental instability, low to non-existent fertility, violent tendencies, born with physical deformities and enfeebleness. That even if the wife he married was 'productively-troubled', he can still have children with her.
Her own father was also a result of inbreeding that it took her grandparents near-fifties just to have him and no other kid after.
Once she recovered, she would wait to grant him the same gift. Her parents clearly had stressed over her clinical state, having been in a coma for a month, and woke up in time for New Year's Eve.
Hell, it was still wartime, but when she woke, the Death Eater forces were diminished greatly.
However, they now face Being and Creature attacks.
She then contacted Aoko Aozaki for help.
In her dreams, high schooler Aoko who now has nothing to do other than complete school while disguising her eyesore of a hair as a result of obtaining the Fifth Magic, saw a dream.
A baby foreign girl facing her in her sleep.
'Hello.' the voice was child-like.
'OK, I think I'm too tired from Math Exams.' Aoko swore as she kneaded her temples with her fingers, wanting to deny a BABY is talking to her!
'Is that so hard to believe? Come on, you activated the Root on the day I was born.' Aoko spit-sprayed in shock at this kid that uses Geezer-Japanese. 'I too, am connected to the Root, making our meeting in this dream possible, though I can't talk in reality obviously. Babies can't talk.'
'Riiiight...' Aoko twitched. 'What do you want from me, kiddo?'
'Well, I came to you for help.' said Alma. 'I am Alma Potter. Born between my mother who's unaware of her magus potential and thus thinks she's a witch when a childhood friend taught her about Wizardkind, thinking she's a witch too, and my father who's a wizard. Wizardkind are humans naturally attuned to magic and born with Magic Cores while magi are humans who dabbled in science and the supernatural to BECOME supernatural, hence gaining Magic Circuits when the Age of Man came to be and obtained Magic Circuits.'
'There's such a difference?' Aoko blinked owlishly.
'Yup. Think of Cores as Nuclear Reactors while Magic Circuits are Factories that needed supplying.' Alma chuckled. 'But we're getting off-topic.'
'Yeah, you needed my help for something...what about?' Aoko asked her with a frown.
'I'll show you why.'
Alma showed her the situation of Magical Britain.
'With these Death Eaters all in prison, Voldemort resorted to recruiting Dark Creatures and beings...and they're way beyond paygrade as Wizardkind aren't good at fighting...they stand still and cast magic while Magi with common sense would run around and attack all angles.' said Alma, showing her how wizards fight.
'Wow...talk about...suicidally-stupid? Against giants, werewolves and zombies?' Aoko blinked owlishly.
'Yup. Don't get bitten by Werewolves. You become one by saliva to blood contact even if I can cure it but at my infant body I can't pull that off. Even being scratched results in cursed scars, so don't. Had I been older I can immediately heal you but if left there for a day, you keep it for life.'
'OK, Tell me what to expect and how to deal with them.' Aoko told her. 'I gotta know the specs if you're hiring me as a Mercenary.'
'OK.'
Alma then taught her things that Magi...GOT ENTIRELY WRONG, Aoko thought in utter flabbergastedness. But to be fair they encounter spirit versions while Wizardkind have the physical stuff!
'Sooo as a bonus, not only will I pay you 50 million yen every five years for your work as this war will last quite a while, you also get to keep bodies of the creatures, do what you want with it as long as you act as a sniper. Ensuring the Ministry and Voldemort won't find out about you. So until you complete your job when I say so, you have the ability to bypass the Bounded Fields of Wizards and can come and go as you please.'
'But kid, where on Earth will you get the money?' Aoko asked, baffled at how the baby will do it. 'Your parents?' she asked skeptically with the flattest expression she could make.
Alma pouted.
'Hey I have access to the Root you know! Paying you is as easy as breathing without even having to dip into my parents' money!' Alma did an indignant armfold on her chubby baby arms. 'You accept?'
'Well yeah, I graduated High School already dammit, got nothin' else to do and I achieved the Aozaki's long dream of obtaining Magic.' said Aoko. 'My family can finally shut up about being Magi and go back to normal living. My ma and pa will approve of me doing magus work anyway and earn lots of money while I'm at it. But dang, 50 million every five years? With 100 million alone I'm set for life!' she laughed. 'If I live as a magus, that fortune won't last long!'
'Will you?'
'Nope. I obtained the power of the Root though but a mere scrap of it, no need.' said Aoko airily with a handwave. 'The Five Great Magics are a mere scrap of what the Root can fully do anyway, I'm content with it.'
'Mm. You're unlike Magi who'd want it all like greedy pigs despite the blatantly obvious impossibility. I like you.' Alma giggled. Aoko supposed she got the approval of a girl who may as well be omnipotence made a girl.
Alma then went serious.
'Even if they reach the Root, what would they do with all what it can offer? Even I have trouble with everything I gained even while within the womb. Wizards can live up to 200 years in old age and even then, I can only use a mere 1/1000th of 1% of it all, being a mere human being and that's me pushing myself so hard into having gray hair at a young age, but if I lived normally with all I got, that'd be 1/100000th of 1%.' Aoko blanched at that. 'The Root is as vast as Earth's history itself from the Age of Gods to the Age of Man. And so does its power. And the Root grows as humanity progresses be it knowledge in magical or technological advances. Sooo yep, its impossible to use it all, see?'
Aoko twitched.
'Well, try telling that to all Magi in the world. They won't listen anyway.' Aoko snorted. 'Well, how soon do I start with my job?'
'How about as soon as possible?' Alma piped up. 'When you wake up, you'll see the downpayment by the foot of your bed.'

Next morning, when Aoko woke up...
She saw crisp, thick wads of 10000 yen bills stacked neatly at the foot of her bed.
'Holy shit...' Aoko counted her downpayment. It was 25 million yen.
She went slack-jawed.
'I really did get paid! Son of a gun!' she exclaimed, wide-eyed while shakily holding her money.
She's in for a long work, if she'll get paid every five years. She's effing set for life in luxury!

And so, back in Wizarding Britain...
Alma grew up at home.
Aoko called her omnipotent in her head, might as well be one for real if only in looks. She may have access to history and magic the world possesses, but other than that, not much else that in a way, she can still live normally unlike Magi who would think another rather mentally and psychologically unhealthy route.
Shuddering, she was glad she grew up in a home where she can at least live normally even though in her parents' case, its a life of fear and paranoia.
Her mother shops for groceries in the muggle world than in Diagon Alley. She only shops there if she was with her father, for Potions Ingredients.
But since her parents are getting stressed and haggard, she implanted into her mother the need to cook healthy.
As she grew up and older...her father would say that 'someone' was helping them out and they sure as hell won't show up, but who cares?
And as she grows older...the more strength she can access. Well, how much her body can afford her anyway. For wizardkind, their magic output depends on their stamina while for Magi, it depends on how much Od they have before needing to rest. But its better than nothing.
In an Order Meeting in a safehouse...
The Order pretty much, let their guard down around Alma, since she acts like any girl her age would, playing with her toys Lily brought so she won't get bored in an adults meeting.
'The Dark Lord is getting angry...because someone is attacking him from afar that he loses more 'power' by losing his creature recruits.' said Snape. 'Because of this, the races he charmed are seeing him as harbinger of death to their kin, that before he can give them what they wanted, they be driven to extinction first, that they now shun him.'
'Well that's good to know, bastard never makes good on his promises anyway.' Moody scoffed. 'But still, this won't end until bastard himself is killed.'
'That's the hard part.' said Sirius. 'But we got to whittle down his stooges before we can get to him. Soon, we outnumber the bastard as his allies ditch him but how long do we have to wait for that?'
'Well, we wait on THEM, unfortunately!' said Dedalus Diggle. 'They have to abandon him, leaving him naked!'
'After which, we all gang on him. No mercy since he showed none.' James growled. 'He's killed so many people already, even other purebloods just for not bowing to him while he spouts out Pureblood Supremacy! How are our people not seeing that? Blind or stupid or both?' he said in exasperation. 'Moreover, while we indeed gang on him, how many of us will we lose since last I checked, old bastard's quick on his feet?'
'I frankly don't want to answer that.' said Marlene McKinnon unhappily. 'But this is war. We lost so many members and friends already, one even selling his own friends at that.'
Yep, who'd forget the day James and Sirius hauled the cursed Peter Pettigrew to the Ministry for trial?
'I still can't believe he did that...after everything at Hogwarts.' said Remus glumly.
'Everything my arse, he was your little group's parasite, even first years can see that.' Snape sneered. 'As long as you're useful for his own advancement, he's a nice little stooge. But when things get tough, he sells you.'
'Don't remind us of him.' James snapped. 'We haven't forgiven nor forgotten! By the way, Albus is late, where is he?'
'At the Ministry since he's part of the Wizengamot. Probably another trial.' said Elphias Doge. 'He got called so he told me to tell you he won't make it today.'
'Well, that means we decide our own actions then.' said Moody. 'We plan our next attack but Snape, our plan depends on you for intelligence, and our mysterious helper.' he told the sour-looking Potions Master. 'We will go out at full power and spare no expense even if it means death for some or all of us.'
'Alright.'
'Meeting adjourned.' Moody decided as there's nothing else to talk about anyway. 'By the way Frank, have you made your will Ironclad just incase?'
'Yeah, I just hoped Alice and I won't die too soon.' said Frank glumly. 'Raising Neville is a joy away from our holier-than-thou relatives.' he scowled.
'Trouble in paradise, Franky?' Sirius piped up.
'Well, its the pureblood way's fault to begin with.' said Frank gloomily. 'Almost everyone we know in the Pureblood Circle is related. We're so inbred Neville's nearly a Squib.' he lamented. 'We're trying to raise him away from even my own mum so he would grow up with love, and not with scorn for what wasn't his fault.'
'Our marriages were arranged by our families to keep the blood pure.' said Alice. 'We're dooming our kid to the fallout as a result. And we had no choice. The most we can do is keep Neville away and made the Will to protect him from the Longbottoms scorn if they find out Neville's a near-Squib. We got a House-Elf for his protection at home so he'll be alright.'
With that, everyone went home.
