Chapter 1: New Bladers in Town

At a tournament

Two young boys were battling with their beys inside a stadium. The two beys of the boys created sparks as they clashed against each other. "Gooo! Sagittario… be the Beyblade!" the boy to which belonged a yellow Beyblade called out. This boy had bright green hair and brown eyes. He wore a yellow T-shirt with a straight blue stripe running across his chest and arms.

"Don't be so sure of yourself. Come on, hit him back!" his opponent said as his bey clashed against the yellow one and crowd began to cheer.

"What a day of beyblading it has been here at the WBBA competition. Does it get any better than this? I don't think so! Let's watch and find out! Which Point-Hungry Blader is going to come out on top today?" the Blader DJ exclaimed. He wears his reddish-orange bandana over his light brown hair. He wears a symbolic blue WBBA shirt covered by a vest and Beyblade gear including elbow pads, gloves, cargo pants, and boots.

In Town

A boy with dark red spiky hair and golden-brown eyes walked down the city sidewalks. He was wearing a blue headband with a design of the mythical creature, Pegasus, on it. His outfit consisted of a long white scarf around his neck, a short blue short-sleeved jacket, a plain orange shirt, white and blue fingerless gloves, a red and a brown belt around his waist, which has a pouch for his Beyblade, black pants, and red and navy blue colored shoes. It seemed like he was a traveler, seeing how he carried a bag over his shoulder.

On a Ship

At the front of the ship a boy with spiky grey hair and crimson eyes. He was wearing black pants with red stripes above his knees, and a black jacket over a red tank-top. In addition, he wears a black glove on his right hand and black shoes. He had just like the boy in town a bag over his shoulder which indicated that he too was a traveler. "We are about to arrive at the port. Do you have everything?" the captain of the ship asked. "I got everything and thanks for letting me travel with you," the boy replied. "Hahaha, no problem kiddo," the captain said.

At the tournament

The crowd cheered as the battle between the young boys continued. Both beys collided over and over again. "Thake that!" the boy with green hair shouted as his bey clashed against his opponent's, sending it flying out of the stadium. "Woah! Bummer," the boy's opponent shouted as his Beyblade landed outside of the arena.

"That's is a stadium out! The winner is… give it up for… Kenta Yumiya!" Blader DJ exclaimed as the crowd cheered. "He now advances to the third round!" Blader DJ continued. "All right!" Kenta shouted. "Aww. This totally bites," Kenta's opponent complained. Each of the two boys held up his pointers as the points were transferred. Afterward, Kenta had 1250 points while his opponent's decreased to 840. "Boo-yeah," Kenta said with a smile as the crowd cheered loudly. Two evil looking bladers were watching Kenta with evil smirks on their faces.

On top of a water tank

The boy with the dark red spikey hair was sitting on top of a water tank. The wind was blowing the boy's hair and scarf as he looked into the distance.

At the port

The grey-haired boy was walking leaving the ship giving waving his goodbyes to the captain and the crew.

At the tournament

"It's time for the Quarter Finals! First up Coji Yamina vs Kenta Yumiya!" Blader DJ announced as both bladers to their place. "Ready, set!" the DJ started to say as both of the boys attached their beys to their launchers. "Three! Two! One!" the whole stadium yelled. "Come on, let it rip! Yahh!" Kenta shouted launching his bey.

With red hair

The boy with the red hair was sleeping with his arms spread wide open while using his bag as a pillow. He was letting off light snores. In his hand was a light blue bey with the head of a horse and wings. His bey gleamed from the sunlight beaming on it.

With gray hair

The grey-haired boy was lying on the grass as he looked into the sky. Next to him was his traveling back and in his right hand was a red bey.

With Kenta

"*Sigh* After all, that, I only got into the top 8," Kenta said looking disappointed. "The last time we watched you didn't even make it to the 3rd round. At least you're getting… a little better," one of Kenta's friends stated. "Right?" he said as he gave Kenta a little push. "Yeah, but you lost in the first round so you're getting a little worse," the taller one of Kenta's friends said to the other one. "Heh-Heh-Heh. I have a cold," the chubby one tried to defend himself. "Next time, you should try using my Beyblade…" the tall one stated as he took out his bey. You could get a lot further using an Attack Type, don't you think?" he asked Kenta. "Oh, umm, well thanks… but… I want to get stronger with Sagittario. I think we make a good team. I know we can win together! Right Sagittario, old buddy?" Kenta asked clutching his bey. "Y-yeah right well, I guess it doesn't mean anything if you don't win with your own Beyblade…" the tall blond boy replied. "In the end, the only way to get better is to practice, huh?" the chubby brown haired boy stated as the three of them started walking. "All right! Let's get our act together and practice! Let's have one more battle!" the brown-haired boy continued. "Hey guys, look," the blond one said catching the attention of the other two. "Ah! How did it get so late? I gotta get home!" the brown-haired boy stated. "Battle ya later, Kenta!" the blond hair shouted leaving for his home. "Keep spinning, guys!" Kenta shouted back.

A train drove on the trail build over a bridge under which Kenta walked through. Kenta was running with a happy smile on his face while thinking about getting stronger.

Kenta's Daydream

"Check it out! Talk about lighting in a bottle! We have our winner!" Blader Dj announced. "All right!" Kenta cheered jumping into the air. "Ladies and Gentleman! Please give it up for the winner of the National Tournament! And new holder of the Title Blader Number 1, Kenta King of the Beyblade Yumiya!" DJ announced. "All hail King Kenta!" his brown-haired friend cheered. "Long live the king!" the blond one shouted. "Thank you! Thank you so much, everyone!" Kenta said now holding a trophy. "I'd like to thank my Beyblade and my agent…" Kenta said looking at Sagittario.

Back to reality

"I wonder if I should thank my mom…" Kenta said laughing as he continued to run until he ran into someone and landed on his butt. "Owowowow… ouch… huh?" Kenta said opening his left eye. He had a slight sweat-drop as he looked up and saw three older males standing in front of him. The biggest who was standing in the middle chuckled darkly. He bent forward and put to fingers on this chin. "What's your problem!?" he asked as Kenta backed away. "Uh… I fell on my butt," Kenta stated. "What? You think this is funny?" the boy to the left of the big one asked. "Heh, so ya think it's a joke buddy, a little punk like you running into Mr. Benkei, hmm?" the one on the right asked. "B-b-b-but… Uh, sorry I didn't do it on purpose," Kenta replied fearfully. Benkei growled loudly making Kenta yelp. "Grrr. That's not exactly the point, is it, my little friend!" Benkei stated. "Ah, it isn't?" Kenta asked a bit surprised. "Nope. To make up for it, you can face Mr. Benkei in a Beyblade Battle. When you lose, we get all your points," the one on the right stated. "A-all of them?" Kenta asked shocked. "You guys are Face Hunters, aren't you!" Kenta exclaimed. "Hmm. Nice one. You noticed." The right one said. "No way! You can't have all my Beyblade Points! If you want them just enter a faceoff and win them fairly! That's how it's done!" Kenta stated. "Hahahaha. You actually think we wanna earn a measly 10 or 20 points using the standard rules?" the right one asked. Upon hearing this Kenta tried to run away into the opposite direction of the three but his path was blocked by two other guys.

"If you don't wanna lose your points, all you gotta do is beat Benkei," one of the newcomers in a red shirt stated. "Yeah, yeah. You'll show us the awesome skills of the completion's top 8, right?" the second boy asked. Kenta began to almost cry as the five guys began to laugh. "So-somebody… somebody… help me!" Kenta shouted as a train drove over the bridge.

With red hair

The boy was still asleep, a snot bubble coming in and out of his nose as he snored. The snot bubble popped.

With grey hair

He was walking through the city as he heard someone scream for help. He turned into the direction from where the scream came and started to walk in that direction.

Back with Kenta

"Hmph, yell all ya want, no one is coming to help ya," Benkei stated. "All right! Let's get ready to battle!" Benkei exclaimed readying his launcher. "Ahh," Kenta whimpered close to crying. "Ah-ha-ha-ha! Here we go… Three!" One of the Face Hunters said holding up three fingers. "Stop it, please…" Kenta pleaded. "I don't want to fight this kind of battle," Kenta stated. "Two!" another said holding up two fingers. "One!" the two other hold up a single finger. "Let it rip!" Benkei exclaimed. "Uwaah!" Kenta said launching his own bey.

Immediately after the two beys clashed Kenta's Sagittario was pushed backward. "My grandma spins harder than that!" Benkei stated. "Yeah, looks like you're the top 8 of Babybladers!" one of the Face Hunters said and the other began to laugh. "Come on, Sagittario!" Kenta said panicking. Sagittario clashed once again against the brown one of Benkei but it didn't do anything. The brown one countered and sent Sagittario flying against the ceiling. "Huh? Sagittario!" Kenta cried out as his bey falls towards the ground. But before it could even touch it the brown one hit it again sending it this time towards the wall. This he did again and again. "This isn't fair! Stop it already!" Kenta demanded. "Grr, well then, shall I finish things off now?" Benkei asked with an evil look on his face. "Watch closely! You might wanna take notes… this is how you attack!" Benkei exclaimed as his bey rushed towards Sagittario. "Uwaaah! Sagittario!" Kenta exclaimed. The brown bey was about to hit Sagittario as two bright lights appeared, one blue and one red. Two beys appeared each hitting the Benkei's bey from each side knocking it out. Benkei's bey landed at his feet. "What?! But how?" Benkei asked. Both the bey returned into their respective owner's hand. "Hey! Beyblading is supposed to be fun. You gang up on someone; you're not a true blader," the boy with the scarf said standing at the entrance behind Kenta. "Forcing someone to battle, that's low," the grey-haired boy stated who was standing at the entrance behind Benkei. "Wha-what did you guys say?" a Face Hunter asked. "Who do you think you are?" Benkei asked angered. "The name's Gingka… Gingka Hagane!" the red-haired boy said. After he introduced himself all turned around to the grey-haired boy. "The name is Kai," he stated. "Gingka? Kai?" Kenta asked. "Hmph! So you think you're tough guys?" a Face Hunter asked. "These are not smart guys to get in the way of my battle," Benkei stated as one of his lackeys brought him his bey which he took. "Hmph, all right then. If ya really wanna help this kid,, then battle," Benkei said. "Us!" all of the Face Hunters and Benkei said. "No problem, big guy," Gingka replied. "I was already itching for my first battle in this country," Kai stated. "But this is going to be a Handicap Match 2 versus 5!" a Face Hunter said as Benkei and the two beside him turned towards Kai and the other two got ready to face Gingka. "Huh!? What? But that's not fair!" Kenta stated. "Just zip it. This is how it's going down. Heh heh heh," one of the Face Hunter laughed. So, will you guys battle?" Benkei asked. "Or do you wanna cough up all your points now?" Benkei asked. "N-no! Don't do it! This is my battle! It has nothing to do with you guys!" Kenta stated. "Don't sweat it, kid. I'm not going to lose to this guy," Gingka stated. "You know what boy your right, this is unfair… for them," Kai stated. "What?" Kenta asked. "Even if there were 100 of them it still would be a walk in the park," Kai said smirking. "Heh, this ain't no joke! Do this guys think they're funny or something?" A Face Hunter asked. "Who cares, let's do this! Let it rip!" Benkei exclaimed as he launched his Bey, just like the face hunters, Kai and Gingka

Three beys started to fly towards Kai and two in the direction of Gingka as another train crossed over the bridge. `Whoa… it's too fast. I can't even see their Beyblades!` Kenta thought as Gingka's bey defeated his two opponents in an instead, just like Kai's. All the Face Hunters shouted in shock as their beys were knocked out. Gingka chuckled as he holds up his pointer which showed 37.000 and increased after his and Kai's victory. Seeing this all Face Hunters were completely shocked. "Over 30.000!" one yelled. "Unbelievable! I've never seen so many points!" another one yelled. "He's on a completely other level! There's no way we could win!" a third yelled. Then they turned around to see how many points Kai had. The shock got even bigger after they noticed that he had 0 points which increased to 100 after the battle. "How he only has 0 points!" the four exclaimed. "What did you expect I just arrived in this country," Kai stated. "I'll remember this!" Benkei yelled as he and the Face Hunters ran pass Kai. "Woooow! So cool," Kenta said in admiration.

Later…

"That was awesome Gingka! Kai! Do you guys mind if I call you by your first name? How about Mr. Hagane? And you Mr. … I don't even know your second name. Ah, then let's go with Gingka and Kai. You two rock! I'm Kenta by the way, uh, thanks for helping me! Uh, I don't know how to repay you. Uh, let's see what I got here," Kenta said rather quickly, as he reached into his pockets. "Half a donut? Mr. Froggie Tookus? Mmm… lint? I got nothing," Kenta stated. Upon seeing this both boys looked at each other and smiled. "You don't need to thank me. Just tell me who those guys were back there?" Gingka said. "Huh? Who them? They're the Face Hunters," Kenta stated. "The Face Hunters?" Kai asked intrigued. "Yeah. They force younger opponents into unfair battles and steal their points. They've done it to a lot of my friends. They're just bullies," Kenta stated angrily. "Hmmm, it seems like thugs like them are everywhere," Gingka stated. "Yeah, I met groups like this in my home country I too," Kai added. "Really? That means you're not from this country. Well, where are you from Kai? Tell me," Kenta demanded. "Where from? Well, I'm home wherever the wind is guiding me to. I decided to travel outside of my country to find the strongest bladers and battle them," Kai stated. "Oh, sounds cool," Kenta stated. "And you Gingka?" Kenta asked. Gingka hoped over the railing next to him and slid down in the grass laying down with his arms spread out. "My home is right here," Gingka stated. "Really?" Kenta asked. "Yeah, really. I'm like Kai, I'm traveling around the whole country. I search for stronger rivals in order to become the very strongest Blader," Gingka explained as Kai and Kenta slid down next to him. "You two are so cool! I bet you've fought a lot of tough battles. That must be what makes you so strong. I don't want to bug you too much. You two must be tired. I'll let you rest… Anyway, how can I become stronger, like you?" Kenta asked. "Stronger?" Gingka asked. "Yeah! It's normal for a Blader to want to be stronger, right? I know that I need to work on my attack power and stamina. If only I could become as strong as you, Gingka, Kai, those Face Hunters wouldn't be able to make a fool out of me…" Kenta stated. Gingka looked at Kai if he wants to say something to Kenta. "The most important thing is to listen to your Bey," Kai states. "Listen to your Bey?" Kenta asked. "Yeah, you and your Bey are partners after all. If you can't understand if it wants to tell you something, you won't be able to connect with it and draw out his true powers," Kai explained. "I don't get it," Kenta stated. "Trust me, you will one day," Kai said. "Alright, but what do you think Gingka?" Kenta asked. "It takes a lot of Heart," Gingka stated. "Takes heart?" Kenta asked. "Yes, it does. Because a Beyblade attacks you here," Gingka stated putting one of his hands onto his chest. "I don't get this either," Kenta stated. "Don't worry about it; just relax like this," Gingka states as he lets himself fall back into the grass. "Hm? L-like this?" Kenta asked lying down just like Gingka. "Okay… Whoa… Wow!" Kenta said as he looked into the night sky which was filled with stars. "The Beyblade's true strength has nothing to do with attack power or stamina. It attacks using the feelings of the Blader who is connected with it. As if all of the power in the cosmos was being poured into it… you must put your heart that is as big as the starry sky into it…" Gingka explained. "Whoa. Wow, that's heavy… really heavy," Kenta said with his happy look on his face while Kai had already dozed off. "Hey, oh hey Gingka… Gingka, are you leaving for the next place soon? Because you know, if you like, maybe you could stay in this town a while…," Kenta said. A light snore left Gingka causing Kenta to widen his eyes in surprise. "Yeah… heh… Let it… rip…" Gingka said in his sleep. "What about you Kai?" Kenta asked but Kai was sleeping completely silent. Kenta laughed while slightly sweat-dropping.

In a warehouse

"So you got your butts kicked?! And then you just came crawling back here like widdle babies!" A male voice said as a barrel rolled towards Benkei and the other Face Hunters. All five of them were seemingly scared of whoever spoke to them. "I-I'm s-sorry! But these guys were so strong… But, if you faced them, Kyoya," one of the one standing next to Benkei said. "Y-yeah! You could crush them with your Leone!" another one said. "What was that?" Kyoya asked with his eyes narrowing. "How dare you speak the name Leone without my permission!" Kyoya said a calmly but with an angry undertone. "Ah!... I'm sorry, Sir!" Benkei apologized for his subordinate. "You will be really sorry if you don't man up and take care of these two losers. Hmm, well then, just do whatever you have to do," Kyoya told them as a smaller boy appeared behind him.

The next day

A small bird landed on Gingka's chest pecking slightly. It flew off as a big shadow appeared. Gingka opened his eyes groaning. Kai also woke up. "Having a nice nap?" Benkei asked the two tauntingly. "I can't complain," Kai replied yawning as he sat up and noticed that he and Gingka were surrounded by multiple Face Hunters. "We're having a get-together. You two are invited."

With Kenta

"I hope Gingka and Kai are still here. I want them to give me some Beyblade tips today!" Kenta said as he ran towards the place where Kai and Gingka spend the night.

When Kenta arrived at the river bank he looked around for Gingka and Kai but neither of them was still there. 'Looks like they left to go to a new town after all, but I thought we could be friends…' Kenta thought to himself before he began to search for them.

He searched a few places, running around. 'Well, they couldn't have gotten very far yet! They're probably somewhere around town…! I gotta find them! Gingka, Kai where are you? I can't believe either of you left without saying anything! Gingkaaa! Kaiii!` He came had to stop because of a road in front of him. Because of this, he saw some Face Hunters entering a building. "Those Face Hunter again," Kenta said. "Don't tell me," Kenta said.

With Gingka and Kai

"Gingka Hagane! Kai! You two thought you were pretty clever embarrassing us yesterday! So today we're gonna return the favor! With the Face Hunters' specialty… the 100 Bey Battle!" Benkei said as all the Face Hunters got ready to launch their beys. "All right. I accept. A hundred Bladers or a thousand. What about you Kai?" Gingka asked. "Do you really think I would miss out on the fun?" Kai replied with a smirk. "Fine!" Benkei replied. "Ha! Now you're gonna pay for your big mouths," A Face Hunter said. "Yeah, we'll teach you what happens when you cross the face Hunters!" another one added. "Maybe you'd like to take a moment to kiss your points goodbye," another said and many began to laugh. "Well then, let's get this party started!" Bankei stated. "Three! Two! One!" the Face Hunters counted down while Kai and Gingka got ready. "Gingka! Kai!" Kenta shouted. "Let it rip!" Benkei yelled as he and the other Face Hunters launched their Beyblades. The beys were bouncing everywhere. "This doesn't look good! They're everywhere… there are just too many Beyblades. It's impossible to tell where a ricocheting Bey might come in from…!" Kenta stated worriedly about Gingka and Kai. "Hmph, nothing warms my heart like a nice 100 Bey Battle!" Benkei stated as the Bey flew around Gingka and Kai. "The Beys smack into each other, increasing their power and changing their trajectory, so they can attack from all directions! Good times," Benkei said chuckling. "They're doomed! No one survives a 100 Bey Attack!" a Face Hunter stated. "So, hurry up and lose. We have brunch reservations," another added and they started to laugh again. "Look out," Kenta shouted towards Kai and Gingka. "Heh heh… look's like your big buddy is too scared to move," Benkei said. "Gingka, Kai, just run this isn't a real bey battle," Kenta shouted. "Zip it! You, just zip it and watch," Benkei said making Kenta shut up. "Yes, Kenta watch…" Gingka said. "I'm not going anywhere. Remember Kenta, a Bey's strength doesn't come from its attack power or stamina… and it doesn't matter how many there are!" Gingka said as a blue aura surrounded him. "So are you ready now, I'm getting impatient over here," Kai stated. "Let's roll!" Gingka said getting ready to launch his Bey and Kai did the same. "It's showtime, Storm Pegasus!" Gingka said to his Bey. "Let's finish this quickly Storm Spryzen!" Kai said to his Bey as he now was surrounded by a red aura. "Let it rip!" both Gingka and Kai exclaimed at the same time and launched their Beys at the same time. "You're kidding me!?" Benkei shouted as both Pegasus and Spryzen defeated every Bey they came in contact with, with a single hit. Kyoya stood up on the hanging beam and said: That's impressive!" While the boy behind him just watch astound. Pegasus and Spryzen couldn't be slowed down let alone stopped. "Amazing," is all that Kenta could say amazed by the display in front of him. "Go Pegasus!" Gingka shouted. "Don't let him show you off Spryzen, show them your power too!" Kai yelled. Two little tornados were created by the two Bey and out of them came a Blue Pegasus and a Red Ogar-like being wielding an ax. "What's happening?!" Benkei yelled. The two tornados created by Pegasus and Spryzen exploded and took out the remaining Beys. "That was way too easy," Kai said catching Spryzen. "Like I said… the difference between winning and losing is the Blader's Spirit!" Gingka stated catching his bey. "Yes! I see! That was awesome, Gingka, Kai!" Kenta told them both as he ran towards them.

"Gingka Hagane… Kai…" Kyoya suddenly called out, making them turn towards him. "Storm Pegasus… Storm Spryzen…, huh?" Kyoya asked. "At last my friend, it seems opponents worthy of me and my Rock Leone have made their selves known," Kyoya stated showing them his Bey. "Who are you?" Gingka asked. "I am Kyoya Tategami…," Kyoya introduced himself. "This should be interesting," Kyoya stated chuckling which made Kai smirk.
