Captain Crunch…
Reese was sitting on a stack of old books leaning her chin against table in front of her. Her breakfast had remained untouched since Wash placed it there three hours ago.
"Momma, can I get up now?" Reese called.
"Have you eaten your breakfast?" Zoe replied causing Reese to go back to pouting.
Kaylee walked into the galley and laughed when she saw the girl staring at the lump of protein. "Reese whacha waiting for?"
"Yummy food," she mumbled pushing the plate further across the table. "This stuffs gross."
Mal walked in and let out a sigh. "You still finishing breakfast?"
"I'm not gona eat it!" Reese exclaimed and pushed the plate off the table causing it and all of its contents to crash to the floor.
"Zoe your kid made a mess!" Jayne yelled as he plopped onto the couch.
"Wash!" They all heard Zoe yell.
"Geez when ever she's being a pain it's my fault," Wash grumbled as he past Mal.
Wash started to clean up and Kaylee helped. "I think I know how to get her to eat." Kaylee whispered.
Wash's face brightened at the thought. "How?"
"Reese's Pieces you want some yummy food right?" Kaylee asked.
"Uh-hun." She nodded.
Kaylee went and got a bowl and the same flavor protein bar from the cabinet. She cut the bar into small pieces and handed it to the three year-old.
"It's Captain Crunch." Kaylee smiled.
"But it looks like the other stuff." Reese sighed and went to push it away but Kaylee stopped her.
"It was my favorite when I was little," she smiled as Reese's eyes widened. "My daddy made it for me all the time."
"I want some!" Reese smiled taking the bowl out of Kaylee's hand.
Wash stared at the scene his jaw dropped when he noticed how quickly she ate it.
"That was yummy," Reese smiled wiping her mouth on her sleaves.
