Running
There was nothing else in her head
Run, from everything.
Kagome ran through the forest, tears staining the ground beneath her feet as she went.
'How could I have been so blind?' Her breathing was labored; she was a blur of sorrow racing away.
Her heart felt like every breath she took brought thousands of daggers, piercing every angle.
She lost her shoes miles back, but she kept running. Her feet grazing every root and stone, blood mixed with the tears as she went.

Her legs seemed to have disowned her long ago; she could barely feel them any more as she was now gasping for air.
Her destination was unknown to her, but the way she was running led to a cliff.
She saw it

Gravity was bringing her down when someone grabbed her arm at the last second.
Now she was staring, down at the end she so badly wanted. She sobbed, even THIS she was denied.

She gasped and turned to look up, there he was holding on to her with his one arm. In his eyes she saw fear, for her? It can't be.
"WHY? I DESERVE THIS!" She screamed in all the pain and rage burning inside her.

"I DO NOT AGREE! YOU CANNOT LEAVE ME NOW KAGOME! NOT AFTER I HAVE FINALLY OPENED MY EYES!"

"I WON'T LET YOU DO THIS! KAGOME I LOVE YOU!" Her eyes widened and she gasped.

Sesshomaru reached out and pulled Kagome in towards him, turning he formed his cloud. As they safely floated to the ground Kagome clung to him and sobbed. "I'm so sorry Sesshomaru, I'm just a stupid human!"
Sesshomaru shook his head and gently lifted her chin to look him in the eyes.
"No Kagome, I'm the fool for taking so long to find you" He wiped away a stray tear with his index finger, and Kagome sighed.
"Oh Sesshomaru." As their feet touched the ground, the kiss they shared brought them to new heights.
