His little Nanao-chan was never the type to fall for his little love games or his flirty jokes, rather she would slap him across the face or hit him with a near-by object but today she was different. She just worked around them and didnt speak a word. He thought she must have finally had enough of his little games and decided to play a little trick over her own, but that was not the case.

Kyouraku Shunsui sat quietly at his desk, across from hers. The only noise filling the room was the sound of her ruffling papers and the quiet wishy-washy sound of her brush as she signed off on all of her work. As her pile of papers got smaller, his got larger. He should have stayed quiet and stayed seated, working hard to impress her, but decided instead to get up and check on his sweet Nanao-chan. She seemed to be upset or something other than that but he could not tell.

"Lovely Nanao-chan!" he said cheerily as he sat down heavily on her desk, blocking her view from her papers. She just stared up blankly at him, as if he had just appeared to her out of nowhere. He tried to continue to cheer her up by saying "well, my kawaii fukutaichou, what will it be for lunch, a delicious bowl of noodles or a warm jug of sake?"

Again, she just looked at him for what seemed like hours. As soon as he was beginning to worry that she had gone mute, she spoke with a muffled voice.

"Taichou, theres no real way to say this…" her voice trailed off. He realized just how serious she was and wiped his usual silly drunken smirk off his face.

"Ise, my dear, what is it?" he asked urgently, afraid to hear the answer but eager at the same time.

"I…..I got into your sake last night and was a bit drunk and I was stressed about our squad members and I'msosorry!" she said in a rush, clearly embarassed.

"Oh, I know, Nanao-chan." He said with a wink and a smile. "You might not remember but I do." He winked again. Her face flushed as she realized what he meant.

"T-t-t-taichou!" she struggled to remember just what had gone on the night before. her head hurt and her thoughts were groggy.

"Would you like me to remind you?" he asked with a small smirk, tipping his hat up, so he could she just how deep the shade of red on her face was.

"H-hai…." she said nervously.

"Well, I found you in my office, at my desk, asleep. So I told Isane and Unohana-san to put you to bed."

"….that's it…?"

"Hai, Nanao." He chuckled out loud as she screamed at him not to taunt her like that and threw an extremely heavy book at him. Sure, he would bruise, but the look on his lovely Nanao-chan's face was worth it.
