~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Announcement ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Your doing what?" much to the amazement of the senior professor's of Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore stood beaming at the rest of his friends and his arm was drapped around a beaming Minerva McGongall.
"Yes, it was quiet a suprise, for me as well." said the cat animagus."We decided that getting married was the best thing, one doesn't often get a second chance." she said and leaned into the headmaster and he affectionately hugged her to him.
There were several Ahh and Ohhh's that went around then the tall lanky Potions professor pushed himself from the wall. "That is all and good." he said " you have my congradulations as well, but who will take your place,Albus?" he inquired his dark eyes bearing into twinkling blue ones.
The rest of the room figured he was asking for his own ends,little did they know that,Severus Snape was still working for the Headmaster. He was curious if that meant that he would continue his work for Dumbledore...or...the new headmaster.
Madame Hooch turned her grey gaze on the surely potion master,"Well if its my vote,Severus I think you'd make an excellent headmaster." she said on her way by, then again half the staff was aware of her intrest in Snape since the defeat of Voldemort.
He sneered and turned away from the woman, she was most annoying and not even in the slight of intrest to him. He nodded his head to Dumbledore and sighed when the older man promised to meet with him in his office.
As the potion master left he sighed,"A new headmaster it would be his luck, it would turn out to be,Potter." he left before he could hear anything more. It wasn't like him to stay in the Staff Room longer then needed.
He was disturbed that after all his life at Hogwart's that there would be a new Headmaster, there had been one since he had been there, the ex-death-eater was troubled to say the least.
"Do you think we should have told Severus who would be replacing you,Albus?" spoke McGongall softly as she watched the dark man sweep from the room in a flurry of darkness.
Dumbledore watched the man leave and lowered his blue gaze on his wife to be, but companion of so many years."No Minerva, I don't believe so,it will be a surprise." he answered, she chuckled he had that same mischevious twinkle he had when he was up to something.
