It was the little things about her that Sam missed the most. The little mole between her eyebrows. Her one slightly-crooked tooth. The way she always put the toothpaste on her toothbrush before the water. It was these things that Sam missed the most. He sat on a crappy motel bed with a box of things they had been able to salvage from the fire. After taking a deep breath, he pulled them out one by one. Almost immediately, the memories came flooding back.

"Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and I'm homebound," Jess sang in the passenger seat.

"God this song is so stupid," Sam chuckled.

"Staring blankly ahead just making way, making way through the crow-ow-owd! It's your verse Sam!"

"If I could fall, into the sky, do you think time would pass me by?" he hesitantly sang.

"Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just, see you, tonight!" they sang together.

"Ooh! Sam, smell this one!" Jess exclaimed, picking up another bottle of perfume.

"I can't believe I let you drag me here, you know I'm allergic to perfume!" he replied, sniffling.

"I must be really special," she flirted, "but seriously! Smell this!"

She was too excited for him to not smell it. She sprayed a little on a white piece of paper and handed it to him, energy radiating off of her. He breathed it in, and was surprised when he didn't immediately have to sneeze. "I like this one," he smiled, "and it doesn't make me sneeze."

"Yes!" she exclaimed, "I knew you'd like it!"
